who has seen the offspring live?
casual fan but never seen them. Thinking about going to the show. Who has seen them live? How were they?
Re: who has seen the offspring live?
i saw them at the last rock on the range...the year Cornell died. I have to admit. Those guys were fun and the singer was dead on still with his vocals..

Bring your papers, comrade.

They're good live. They get they are a nostalgia band, and play all the hits..and sound pretty damn good.

Saw them in Ventura almost 20 years ago on the Vans/Warped tour, great show, I didn't know they were that big at the time actually haha. I remember Dropkick Murphy's really brought it that day too.
Saw them more recently at The Obsevatory Santa Ana for a Halloween show, maybe 6 years ago. It was just before they dumped their bass player, may have been one of the the last shows with him? He played very well, not the most exciting guy to watch but he's the bass player in the Offspring, what's he supposed to do. Another great show, place was packed, they put on a great show for sure.
I'd go see them even if you're slightly interested, you'll have a good time for sure.

Pray for your cool and work on that ass!

Saw them last year at the When We Were Young festival in Vegas. They were GREAT. Super tight. Singer sounds the same. Drummer looks like he's 20 years old.

I’ve seen Offspring at every stage of career since MTV made them stars- probably 5xs. It’s good for what it is. It’s not Bon Jovi 1989. People will hate but I loved Axl braids
Would I go now ? Sure why not. Just part of the fun night that includes fun before and after.
Last time I saw them was at Aftershock- that was enough time. I think I used 1/2 set to buy Misfits event shirt. That was rad

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Re: who has seen the offspring live?
I’ve seen them many times since 1999, most recently in 2010.
I could wax poetic at length about how much I love that band and what a smart and devastatingly hilarious dude Dexter is and how Noodles is quite awesome himself, but unfortunately as of the last few years the backing tracks for the lead vocals ruin it for me when it comes to them as a live band. Just being honest. That’s what we do around here.
If you can’t do it anymore, maybe just don’t. Just my opinion.
But if you just wanna enjoy the songs you love and have a good time and that stuff doesn’t bother you, it’ll be a fun experience. I’ll bet you $5 that Dexter cracks you up at least once.

Once
20+ years ago, but I remember digging them. I am a pretty big fan of their 90s stuff.
Planning on seeing em later this summer.

Summer of 99, Mighty Mighty Bosstones opened. Not the hugest Offspring fan, but they played well live. I think the Vandals or Voodoo Glowskulls were on the bill too.
