Queensryche.

Pretty Maids and Mercyful Fate also debuted with EPs that were good. Not as good as their first albums but neither was Queensryche or Ratt's.

Ratt and Dave for me, though Queensryche would be a close third behind those two.

The QR EP blew my mind as a kid.

Ratt would be second....and probably prefer it better now. But that QR put me on the hard rock path.

Didn't know that Twisted Sister EP existed, it prolly sounds like shit.

Went with Ratt, You Think You're Tuff is badass, killer video...and killer cover.

I'd post the Apocalyptic Raids cover but it has a big demon dong and $tevil won't like that.

I voted QR BTW.

That was released after the album came out wasn’t it?

Maiden Soundhouse Tapes should be on the list.

Just cause you call it an EP doesn't make it an EP.

And I will agree that this is a stupid pet peeve of mine.

Who died and made tunecore (whatever the fuck that is) the great arbiter of what is and what isn’t an EP?

This wiki citing from dozens of sources totally contradicts the stuff on that page anyway.

Well, it's not a Mutt Lange production and it has the first studio version of their godawful cover of Leader of the Pack.
But it also has three songs that ended up on their best album Under the Blade, and I prefer at least 2 of them in the EP versions.

Great White & Ratt, roughly equal.
I’m not familiar with the Queensryche but it’s probably high on the list.
