Black Sabbath with Ian Gillan. As if any reunion including Blackmore would last longer than a cup of coffee.

Enuff Znuff with Monaco. I guess you need to get along with junkies to remain in a band

Nevermore with Tim Calvert. He was the reason "Dreaming Neon Black" is so different from other Nevermore records.

Motorhead with Wurzel. With just Phil it was so repetitive.

Witchery with Legion on vocals. Doubt anyone here knows what I'm talking about

Aldious with Rami on vocals. x10. x100

I'd like to have had more albums by the Priest that made Painkiller - And i mean a year or two after, not in 2005-2009

As someone mentioned, wish we could have gotten more from the Van/Sheehan/Bissonette/Roth band. Also the Vandenburg/Campbell/Sarzo/Aldridge/Coverdale lineup of Whitesnake, never got a proper album of that lineup.

When the Halford/Downing/Tipton trio ended, that was the end of the road for me... Priest is one of those bands where the 2 guitarists are critical, take one of them out and it's scabby.
Same with Maiden, No Prayer for the Dying was the beginning of the end. Trading Smith for Janice sucked...
Same with Slayer, I love Gary Holt, he's awesome, one of my favourites, but Slayer without Jeff H just ain't Slayer.

Hell yes on both!! A follow up to EEAS would have been epic especially after that first tour . They were tight as fuck then and the follow up would have been killer!

I saw that lineup of Whitesnake live at Day On The Green 1987 and they kicked ass! I was very impressed! An album with them recorded after that tour also would have been killer!

No-one else wants Appetite-era GNR??? Y'know, the only one that really counts?
Hanoi with Razzle, plus if Demolition 23 had made a 2nd (or 3rd, or...) album
Voivod with Piggy. I pretend the Eric years didn't happen, and the Newstead albums weren't their best. The current line-up is incredible though.
And a load of relatvely obscure hardcore bands - J Church, Whirlpool, Sensefield with Rodney Sellars, Jawbox, and especially the incredible World Inferno Friendship Society (RIP Jack).

Eh... Adler was a junkie who couldn't keep time, and everything Izzy did after he left sucked ass.

I was there. I have no memory of Whitesnake from that day lol.

I remember a little more from when I saw them om Slide it In, but not much. They were pretty generic, even if they were high-performing generic.

Nevermore is a great answer. DNB is a top 10 all- time album for me.

Is that the same Legion from Marduk? If so he rules and I wish he were still in Marduk.

All you would get would be SOTT with two generic metal guitarists instead of Vai. Campbell was out of Trev Fleming riffs to recycle after Last in Line so you would still get an album full of bland Vandenberg pop-metal.

It's a fantasy list. With people who died'n'stuff. The sprawling mess that is UYI proved Appetite-era GNR were far greater than the sum of their parts. Not long after that they were just another band, initially trying and failing to live up to their legend, then not even bothering to try.
