The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

Judas Priest release the same song twice on one album

Post by BernieTaupson »

wtf

These just played one after the other and it was like the first song hadn’t finished.

I keep dipping into this album because it’s meant to be really good but I’m just hearing the same Painfiller shit all over again. These might as well be the same song the drum tone and guitar tone is identical and the riff and singing is all just the same thing over and over again.

I was hoping they actually fucked up and put two songs on the same album.

The worst offender of this I've ever seen was the one Impelliteri CD where there was basically two different riff types that were near identical, except for the one song that sounded like him auditioning for Megadeth that 100x more interesting.

It was "Screaming Symphony".

This is Track 1:

This is Track 3, lmao:

Also, here's Track 2 and Track 7:

https://youtu.be/m1h8WmYO7xA?si=3o3UhMNiRjgYKMp2

Also, here's the track that sounds like Dave Mustaine comissioned him to write a song. It's even named "Countdown to the Revolution":

It has by far the most interesting solo on the album and not only does the solo section riff scream Megadeth, he really sounds like he's trying to cop Marty as hard as possible.

The intro riff to "Still Not Black Enough" and "Black Forever" are the same and they're only 1 song apart on the record!

I have a Venom best of - From Hell to the Unknown - where they put the same version of Black Metal on both of the discs, pretty sure that was unintentional and that some record exec lost his private jet privileges over that fuckup!

Well, I'm not sure how that can have happened, cos I have From Hell To The Unknown and the first disc is just a reprint of the Welcome To Hell album, which came out before "Black Metal".

Ah! That's actually From HEAVEN To The Unknown, which is a different comp. That makes a bit more sense. Damn silly mistake to put "Black Metal" on twice though.

Lol, my bad, it looks like I got the names all mixed up, prolly cuz I had that From Hell to the Unknown tshirt as a teen (it had some Satanachist lyrics on the back IIRC)
