FireHouse - Prime Time (2003)

Prime Time was the swan song from FireHouse. How would you FireHouse fans rate it? It's initial release was in Japan. Good thing they had a loyal fanbase overseas.

I like 4 songs on it:

1. "Door to Door" song about racing, has some cheesy lyrics and sounds
2. "Perfect Lie" the end of a lifetime love
3. "Holding On" straight ahead rock
4. "I'm the One" good blues rock tune

Guitarist Bill Leverty sings songs 3 and 4 and so they really don't sound like Firehouse songs, but they are good tunes.

Firehouse ceased to exist after the second album.
I really like those two, but never heard another good song from them.

Did you consider yourself a fan? Did you buy a concert ticket?

Crash is on this one! Great tune! Was on the Sludge compilation album! Will there ever be additional volumes of hey that’s what I call sludge?!

They kept "Crash" and/or "Holding On" in their set into the early-mid 2010s. I suppose the lack of fan response convinced them not to bother recording anything further.

That would make their last recordings the song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" for Monster Ballads X-Mas in 2007, and then the Full Circle album of re-recordings of hits in 2011 with another Christmas song being the only new contribution..."Christmas with You."

I just realized they also did a Priest cover for the 2008 tribute album Hell Bent Forever:

Listening to the album now, it's solid. Holding On kicks ass.

First two Firehouse albums might have the best production of the genre.
