How different is the Whisky now than it was back then? Has it been renovated or is it still the same basic hall?

Same room and the stage is in the same spot but some things have been moved around. Upstairs they put a wall between the offices facing down on sunset

I actually went to the Whisky for the first time about six months ago, on a Wednesday afternoon. Very exciting to check it out as a life-long fan of the LA music scene. It was much smaller than I had imagined.
