Do you want another Ozzy studio album?

Post by SchenkerFan »

Supposedly he's working on one. Last record had a bunch of good songs so I'd be excited to hear new stuff. If it means autotuning the shit out of it to get a decent vocal out of him, so be it.

He made two pretty good studio albums in a row now so why not? And it was just as unexpected as the last two Priest after the disasters Redeemer and Nostradamus.

IMO, Ozzmosis (1996) was his last decent "album", he has some ok songs since then, but overall the albums have been mostly filler......... so "no"....

They've got the Ozzbot dialed in. May as well ride the wave until it short circuits...

This. And I would even say there's no such things as "some ok tunes" since "Ozzmosis"

If they’re done like the last couple of albums, sure.

Or if Zakk’s the main guitarist. As far back as Black Rain I listened pretty much just for the Zakk solos and they’re always great.

Considering the last one I liked was Diary of a Madman, I'm gonna say hard no.

I'd actually like to have one more studio album with the same rhythm section/same producer, but bring back all of Ozzy's living ex-guitarists (the ones who played on album releases) on three songs apiece: Brad, Jake, Zakk, and Gus G. Pie in the sky, I know, but that would be a great final Ozzy solo release.

Well Taylor Hawkins died, so you're not getting the same rhythm section that did half of the album.

It’s a drummer. Just use a drum machine. No one will know the difference.

Pretty much. I'd listen just for the heck of it, but I get the feeling that wave is going to short circuit sooner rather than later, and until then Sharon's just trying to milk as much moolah out of him as she can.

Based on the udio thread I’d rather have a new Aizzy record

No interest whatsoever unless it has any of the 80s band guys on it.

Back on Earth from Ozzman Cometh was good and Facing Hell from Down to Earth was okay.

If it's as good or better than Diary Of A Madman then sure. I got time to listen.

The idea above about using each of his guitarists throughout his career is an intriguing idea. Randy will need a lot of convincing though.

AIzzy or OzzAI? We need a poll on this. What we don't need is an album.

Um, you guys have been hearing Ozzy AI on the last couple releases. That's the point of the Ozzbot post. They're doing with Ozzy what South Park did on the Chef Farewell show, copying and pasting his voice from past performances. It's the only explanation. There's no way that decrepit old geezer is singing that forcefully in the studio or anywhere else...

The last few releases have had terrible production. Can't even listen to them. Song wise, I haven't really cared for anything after Ozzmosis and that wasn't even that good.
