1. No mention of Motorhead "No Sleep Til Hammersmith" ?
2. Never understood why "Tokyo Tapes" gets so much flack,
It's not the best live album ever but it's not as bad as some reviews say,
I have the 2 disc expanded remastered version,
Did the original sound so much worse than the version I have?

You gotta check out Strange Highways! Amazing albumPsychobolia.com wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 9:47 amI've never really listened to those TG-Dio albums aside from the live ones, which I do enjoy.
His solos are a bit weird though, not bad, but a bit strange. I remember reading that he left the band because Dio wanted to have Craig Goldy come back as a 2nd guitarist, who would handle ALL of the guitar solos, and TG wasn't having that haha

Re: Good Metal Live Albums???
Listening to it right now, it's pretty damn cool, I really like about half the songs, very Sabbathy/sludgy, the title track kicks ass... I'm surprised I skipped this album for all these years, that whole middle period dropped off my radar, aside from the live albums which I'm a sucker for.metalmike76 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 5:37 pmYou gotta check out Strange Highways! I would also add: Ozzy/Randy - Tribute
W.A.S.P. - Live...In The Raw
Not metal, but: Extreme - Take Us Alive
Roger Waters - In The Flesh (at least the Floyd stuff + Each Small Candle)

Re: Good Metal Live Albums???
I just bought Live in the Raw today after having listened to it for a few months... Will prolly get Double Live Assassins for Xmas, it's also killer, some fun Blackie banter on there!
Re: Good Metal Live Albums???
Gonna throw the 3 live albums Armored Saint has released in here too. All awesome.
