Most introverted musicians

What are some of the most introverted musicians you can think of? Some are well known for hardly going to meet-and-greets or not wanting to chat with fans. Sometimes fans get their feelings hurt if they don't get the interaction they wanted. It doesn't bother me as long as they don't yell or say something completely assholish. Give a story if ya like.

I'm guessing since he's been MIA for decades - John Deacon.

Maynard James Keenan…whom I will be seeing perform in Berkeley in a few hours here.

And for the record I’m 100% on board with artists who don’t care to bro down with their fans.

Vito Bratta?

Izzy Stradlin?

Neither seems especially interested in being a public figure.

I think both David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen are/were introverted. Very interested to see what Alex writes about Ed in his book, but Roth all but admitted himself that he is an introvert in his book. Never had a steady group of friends after 3rd grade or so, loves reading as an activity, explores cities on his own while on tour, etc. etc. And my impression when I met them in the 90s was they were not rude or assholish in any way but just distant and seemed to treat meeting fans as a work task, not an opportunity to interact with people.

Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley may very well be introverts too. But with Ace is that I am not sure if he doesn't like meeting people as an activity, or he simply doesn't like anyone.

I grew up a block away from Lou reed as a kid in NJ. My dad did coin-op and lou was into pinball machines, jukeboxes, etc and we would go over and service them for him and bring over machines he was into. I’m only 36 so I don’t know what he was like back in the day but he was a really quiet, kind normal guy compared to interviews and stories I’ve read

Well when he was playing pinball he probably wasn't booting heroin or banging trannies.

Seems like some people don't understand the meaning of introvert. Very rarely a lack of interacting with fans has anything to do being an introvert or not.

I think most people do, but we don't exactly have access to their medical records, hence we speculate. So who do you got then?

Chuck Biscuits makes Peart look like a Kardashian.

For all his rep, Lemmy came off as a quiet dude who just sat alone at the Rainbow playing his favorite videogame.

Kerry King once described Jeff Hahnemann as a hermit. And the rest of Slayer were hardly social butterflies.

How would you know? Maybe he only played after shooting up or banged trannies bent over on the machine. Not like he’s gonna do that while the service guy and his son are there.

Buckethead is apparently 3 steps beyond introverted.
