You know I"m going to have to go with Rev right off the cuff. And the thing is, it was less about Rev's meltdown and more about the people who participated in it. From gr8whte's opening line of "I'd hate to meet you in a dark spelling bee" all the way to the Youtube movies, there were some real heavy hitters participating and shining in that beatdown with some really really REALLY funny fucking shit being said and posted.

THAT is what a beatdown is.

It was Blackie Cooper. He threatened to shoot 5 different people, and pmed me and said he was going to come to my work and slit my throat.

All over KISS.

He later came to DRS and said that he was just "method posting" and trying to teach everyone a lesson about what could happen to them if they bully people on the internet.

Good times...

Princeth's was pretty damn awesome too. One of my Top 5 moments here is when she threatened to have me banned for posting personal info when I called her mom a stupid whore.

LMFAO! I laugh every fucking time I think about that.

I think my favorite thing about Printheth was either her insistence on repeatedly reminding us that she'd fucked Dana Strum (and her conviction that the poster Dana_Strum was actually him) or her thinking that Hungwell and Lars McBrain were actually fighting because Hungwell made a thread spoofing the "Girls and Girls" thread.

I like Abe and all of his follow up alts. The meltdown isn't really that entertaining, but the anticipation of the mild meltdown is.

From his first post you KNOW that he WILL meltdown, you sense it, expect it, feel it, and then it happens. Very rewarding.

The DBM shit was definitely first rate as a meltdown, but the threads it garnered weren't nearly as funny as the Rev threads, and most of the "participants" in the threads that the DBM meltdown spawned were full of half assed posters wondering what the fuck was going on. I think the real comedy in the DBM meltdown was in the behind the scenes details that only the chat regulars knew about.

That being said, this thread has made it clear that there is a definite difference between a meltdown and a beatdown, with the meltdown being the actions of the person being clowned and the beatdown being the actions of the people clowning the person who is melting down.
