This whole "break" is just him taking his ball and going home because he's getting fucked with more than he's getting his ass kissed. It's a passive aggressive way of drawing attention to his cause, like the "apology" thread. What's happening is that people are curious about his absence but not really giving a shit either way. Nobody really misses him; it's business as usual.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really feel the overwhelming urge to rip on him based on his band's songs and pics.

I think they look silly and I don't like the songs, but he was atleast trying to present some kind of an image rather than just going up on stage in jeans and a shirt.

And the songs, aint my thing, but he was playing out.
I have been trying for quite a while to get a band going and they all keep falling apart before making it to the stage. I am to the point where I would almost play any shit thing just to get out and play, which is what I love to do.

I'm not going to knock a guy for playing out no matter what I think of the music.

As far as his music goes, it's laughably bad and the comments here are a drop in the bucket compared to the number of comments he's made on the same music, saying that it's "not bad" or in some cases "pretty good." Pointing out that these songs make Jandek look like Brian Wilson isn't going out into left field. If anything, it's saying the sky is blue and Mick Mars has a bad back.

I remember I saw a band called Amazing Grace open up for somebody. I can't remember who, but it was a national band. It must have been a band I really like because I got there early to get up close to the stage. It might have been Badlands on Voodoo Highway tour at Bogarts in Cincinnati. Damn I can't remember, I am old.

Anyway, they had a chick singer. They sounded horrible. She was ugly with big buck teeth. Standing right next to us was some guy with a huge dorky mullet. Me and my friends thought he was either really drunk or retarded, but he had with him posters and 8x10's of this chick and he kept holding them up for her to see the whole show. He kept wanting to high 5 her. He was very creepy, almost stalker creepy.

Anyway, my point is, every band has fans, no matter how much they suck, and there are some weird guys out there that will be fall for pussy on stage, no matter what it looks or smells like.

The funniest thing about the show was, when they were done, the drummer threw his sticks out in the crowd. The hit the floor and no one picked them up. After about 5 minutes or so, I picked them up. I still have no idea why!

How is this any different than Steve Summers, Jani Lane, Bret Michaels, Paul Stanley, Vince Neil or any other musician who's out there playing? They get their asses ripped on everyday on Sludge from their looks to their vocals.

Hell Sludge even has a section called "Exposed" that makes fun of everyone from Alice In Chains to Pantera to Sebastian Bach.
