That mousy color is my natural color. In 2001 I dyed my hair a shade of red that was close to burgundy and it faded a little bit. I had did a mix of blonde and red streaks in 2004. The red was so subtle it faded quick.

In the late summer of 2005 I wanted to dye my hair black with red streaks like Nikki Sixx had done. But my then regular hairdresser said that the black probably wouldn't look good and recommended if you wanted a darker color to try with shades of brown. I ended up mixing it up with brown and a red that was more orange like a pumpkin and this lasted longer.

The red turned more golden as time went by and when I colored my hair in early 2006 I tried another shade of brown with burgundy. I had that for a few months and then I ended up highlighting my hair with red streaks and had that for several months. But my hair was starting to look dry and my mother and brother recommended I trim it up and try new styles and find something that didn't look so tacky. I trimmed my hair and I stopped coloring it. I only highlighted in the spring of 2010 and haven't done that in over 2 years now.

Did they recommend the skinny jeans too? Or advise against?

no they didn't. I was interested because so many people of the rock fans here wear them. I have no interest in getting them now.
