Uruguay did have a good chance to tie and win, but you never know in football.
Chance to tie right at the end? Sure.
Chance to win? Not so much. They fought hard, but they were outplayed.
Not at the end,
They had the chance to hold the tie in second half, and were cornering Holland for good 25 mins, and had clear scoring chances, until that dumb second goal hit them and then came the 3rd, after that it was over.
Outplayed? what game were you watching? It was a constant back and forth between them.
Obviously the game where the Netherlands were the far better team. World Cup semi final. Was on yesterday.
You're welcome.

It's at the 66 mark and it's got to be the ugliest game I've ever watched. Someone's got to win but I almost don't care at this point. 8 yellows so far?

At least he won't be our lame horse (hopefully)
There's no doubting his class when fit but with all the constant injuries and this one, will Barcelona, Chelsea, Man City etc be willing to pay the amount of money required to buy him now?
I reckon he will be at Liverpool at least until January. Are Statler & Waldorf wantign to keep Torres or are they hoping to sell him to the highest bidder in this transfer window to cover some of the debts and give Roy some spending money?
The game for bronze was much better than the final

Forlan has actually been class since he left Utd a few seasons ago.
Wasn't good enough at United. Missed far too many chances. He did score a brace in a 2-1 win over Liverpool though, so for that he will forever be remembered.

Liverpool are supposedly interested in Paul Scharner who was out of contract at Wigan. That could mean Masch out the door. Torres, or any player for that matter is no use if he doesn't play. Owen Hargreaves, to name another. Mickey Owen, to name a third. I did read something where either Chelsea or City had promised Torres he wouldn't have to play every game if he joined them. It was in one of the papers, so it was probably bullshit.
