The 2010-2011 Lakers team has been an enigma all season.

The Lakers were really fun to watch this regular season. Kobe's determination to not let LeBro take his (rightly earned) spotlight made for some compelling 4th quarters. Despite what a lot of people are saying I think this was one of Phil's best coaching years given Artest's very visible decline and a bench that wasn't nearly as deep as last year's.
The advantage to being a Laker fan is your team will usually do whatever it takes to give whoever is coaching what they need to succeed. And despite the high state tax rate good players want to wear that uniform.
The thinking on Perk is that he's never going to get better than he is now, so get the value. I got some inside tips as my cousin is Erik Ainge's dealer.

I hear a lot of talk that if Lebron wins a ring with the Heat, it will be tainted because he couldn't get it done in Cleveland. If Dwight Howard wins a championship with the Lakers, will people say the same thing about him?

They picked up Hedo twice and thought bringing in Vag Carter was a good idea. And I'm sure that Ron Jeremy was coaching the team this season while Stan Van Gundy managed to get fatter. He would have had one if Stern hadn't gotten involved. I love the NBA, but it's had quite a few of near WWF activity since Stern took office.
And, Kobe blew ass in Game 7. That was more the Celtics shitting their pants in the fourth than that team winning one.
That being said, that comparison is like apples and oranges. Pippen was at the end of career and he was never a no.1 guy; he was the greatest second-banana ever. While I detest Mr. Bryant with an extreme ilk, the dude is indeed a no.1 guy.
