My prediction was a repeat of 2010, SF vs. Texas. I was mistaken on that one. While I have nothing but respect for the Cards, their last two WS wins were wild card BULLSHIT.

2006 they won with 88 regular season wins ( the lowest of all time ). They get hot when they don't deserve it. I hate Selig and I hate his new playoff fornat. Without which the defending champions woud've missed the playoffs. Ever think something was broken?

The strike happened under Selig. Roid monkeys broke records that stood for sixty years under Selig. That piece of shit has destroyed baseball since he's been commish. The NLCS has a team that would've missed the playoffs without. Something's broken.

I hope we get it in today. Its raining in SF right now. Needless to say, the city is pretty jacked up for Game 7. Anytime Posey and Pence want to join this series is ok with me.

Rained very hard in the bay area overnight and this morning.

Also, heard a report that Giants franchise is 0-5 in Game 7's to date.
Last game 7 they played was '62 against the Yankees(?)

If you would have said to the Giants, at the start of the season, that their closer would be lost for the year in April, and their prize acquisition of the offseason would be suspended 50 games for 'roid use, yet they'll still be playing in game 7 of the NLCS, they'd have taken it in a heartbeat.

Gritty team. Like what they've shown. Pressure is on St-Louis. Go Giants!

Hopefully thunder and lightning. I haven't missed a second of playoff baseball, but I can't watch it with the Bears playing for the first time in over fifteen days.

Wildcard is best thing about MLB, when those teams get in and cause damage make the "boring" sport something to watch.

Starting to feel like 2010 around here all over again! Hoping we've got the same luck and Timmy finds his 2010 form if he comes in to relieve Cain.

I personally like the Wildcard in the playoffs. Keeps things interesting.

Go Giants!!!!

Honestly, if they win tonight I can't see them beating the Tigers. The Tigers' starting four are just awesome and the G-men aren't exactly a murderer's row of hitters.

Their pitching is unreal for sure, where I could see them faltering though is their defense. Like if SF ( or St. L ) is able to small ball that infield....of course they'd also have to string together hits.

Should be a hell of a series either way.

As a lifelong Giants fan this is the biggest problem. Verlander is just awesome. Hopefully they can get to him. I am heading up from LA to go to the game tomorrow night. Looking forward to it.

Yes I was at Game 7 in Anaheim. Just awful.

I got $50 on the Giants in 6. 6-1 odds... $50 gets me $300. A game 1 win against Verlander would be HUGE!

I'm happy but Detroit is dangerous. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back in game 2. I don't think the long layoff helped the Tigers, but I'm not complaining!
