I don't mind the idea of the Superbowl being played outdoors in the cold. But then I will most likely be watching it in the comfort of home. You could also argue that as much as they get paid they shouldn't complain having to play in it.

The only drawback I can see would be a team like SF would have a huge disadvantage compared to the Raven's if the game were played in New York. Then again they would have two weeks to acclimate if they so chose.

Went downtown last night and scoped the scene before it got too crowded. Got to watch them shooting Inside the NFL in Jackson Square with Phil Simms and Colinsworth. It is fucking lit up.

It all came together in a big way today. This is huge.

Too bad the Redskins aren't in it. That'll be next season, in the freezing cold of the Meadowlands.

I got lucky and scored tickets to SB XLI in Miami. One of my best friends made a bet with his boss that he could top x number in sales over the course of the calendar year, and that if he did, the boss had to pony up two Super Bowl packages. We stayed at a shitty little hotel in Miami (that was apparently a Rat Pack hangout back in the day), our seats were so high up that I swear you could feel the jets when they did their pre-game fly over, beers were $9 each, AND it rained the whole fucking game; BUT I still got to go to a Super Bowl.

Still don't know where we are sitting but I assume upper deck. No problem I've sat up there in the Superdome before and it wasn't too bad.

I've been to a lot of games in the Super Dome, and you're right, there's not really a bad seat there.

One of the cool things about upper deck, is you can really see the play develop. As soon as the Colts kicked that game off, you could see the running lanes open up. I turned to my friend and said "Hester's gonna score." Seconds later, Bears were up 7 - 0.

One thing, the Saints and Chargers made their respective title games in '06. My buddy was a Chargers (more of an LT) fan, and I'm a lifelong Saints fan. We were that close.

In hindsight, I'm kinda glad that neither of our teams made it. Having to endure a loss would have made the rest of the trip miserable for one of us.

My tickets but they will be traded for section 614 which is on the 50. Long story but this will get us three together which we need. These were finally acquired today though it's been in the works for a week.

While I'd rather the Skins were in it, it wasn't much of a deterrent. Super Bowl is bucket list - and New Orleans Super Bowl is SUPER bucket list.

But they will be in sheds, arenas, and county fairs with probably some casinos as well. Hitting most major markets and many B markets.
