Hanley Ramirez ( ribs ) is not in the Dodgers lineup for today's game.
Andre Eithier ( because he's Andre Eithier ) is out of the lineup too.

After blowing every chance in last nights game then hearing the news about today's lineup I didn't bother watching today's match.
Our bats are on the bench, beat up and empty with no one to pick up the slack. Puig played as expected, free swinging and green with 5 strike outs and left 11 on base in the two games. I said it before, I didn't feel we could do it without someone lifting the team and that player was supposed to be Kemp but his vagina didn't heal. At least Andre Eithier spilled his guts out on the field.
I'm just happy we kicked the fuck out of Atlanta.
If they get past Detroit, I think the Sox will have an easier time with the Card's then the Braves.

Annibal Sanchez is fucking dealing! It's the bottom of the sixth and he's at 106 pitches. He did just walk Napoli but his two cutters and 4 seamer were clocking at 96. Dayum.
*edit*
Oh and he had a no hitter through 6.

Yeah buddy. Benoit still gave me indigestion like always. Now let us see if we can start hitting. We can't pitch like this every night.

That's right, and the Sox are gonna be all over the little things. Even though my Sox lost, that was a brilliant game by both teams. Both teams are tough as nails.madmaxfan wrote:Yeah buddy. The Sox proved a couple of things last night:
1. They can hit the Tiger bullpen.
2. The batters can come through with a clutch strikeout any time they want.
Great game, hope the rest of the series is like this.

See: David Ortiz 8th inning grand slam. Uehara unhittable since July. The batters can come through with a clutch strikeout any time they want.
They still have to face Verlander, Fister and at least Annibal again. Since their hitters are paitent they'll get a shot at Detroit's bullpen. A lot of people and I mean a lot have/had Detroit as the hands down WS faves to win it all. Don't get me wrong they still could, I just believe their bullpen ( or lack there of ) will continue to be their downfall.Great game, hope the rest of the series is like this.
I also just learnt that water is wet.

Dodgers 3 Pigeons 0
---------------------------------------------------
Just for beating Wangwright the NLCS should go to the Dodgers.
LA is so hammered, it's a win and a uphill battle but I don't think the ODDS of the Dodgers winning has gone up.
Everyone needs teams to hate, you a Yankee fan? I forget.

What bothers me, LA's beat up vaginal line up...
Game 1 hits: 9-7 Dodgers loss
Game 2 hits: 5-2 Dodgers loss
Game 3 hits: 9-4 Dodgers win?
Game 4 hits: 6-4 Dodgers lose
Jesus, the Pigeons batting average .163, .134, .134, .132
Wished LA had Mr clutch Big Pappy Ortiz but then again who'd play first? I guess.....WHO would be on first.

MLB Umpire Wally Bell died of a heart attack last night; he worked the Pittsburgh/St Louis series last week. He was 48.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Bell was 34 and 2 1/2 weeks from leaving for spring training in 1999 when his heart problem was detected. He had quintuple bypass surgery on Feb. 18, 1999, that left him with an 8-inch scar down the middle of his chest. Two of his arteries had been 100 percent blocked. Two more had been 80 percent blocked, another 70 percent. But he returned to work 11 weeks later in San Diego for a game between the Padres and Atlanta Braves. That night, plate umpire Mark Hirschbeck took the first ball out of play, and planned to have all the umps sign it before presenting the souvenir to Bell.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:MLB Umpire Wally Bell died of a heart attack last night; he worked the Pittsburgh/St Louis series last week. Today should be a good day. Kelly @ Greinke; Peavey @ Fister.
IF it goes 7 LA is lined up to use their top 3 the rest of the series with Kershaw and Ryu going 6 and 7.
Leyland is batting Cabrera second I think because he's had difficulty pulling the ball, hence why Boston has been pitching him outside ( with the exception of Buchholz once ). On paper this move looks brilliant super tactician ( ala Joe Maddon/Bob Melvin ). I just feel especially after reading Baseball Prospectus' research on it ( and Casey Stengel's actual experiment ) that batting order has very little outcome to a game.
What about Ruth/Gehrig, Maris/Mantle, Ortiz/Ramirez, kill? Really it's impact is almost non quantifiable. Looks brilliant on paper though.

LA won, guess they get eliminated in 6 now.
Donnie Jackass tweeted that "Were kind of America's team now, because everyone wants to see a seventh game. Even fans in St. Louis."
No Donnie just because Magic and friends are trying to buy you a ring doesn't make you "America's team." Like the Yankees and Sox most of your "fans" just arrived ( Yeahbuddy I'm talkin' to you ) and the only person that really, really truly want's a game seven is you because you know your ass is fired if not.

Don Mattingly said. "Probably even the fans in St. Louis would like to see a seventh game, so I figure that everybody's for us to win on Friday night."
Get it? Everyone wants LA to win because "LA HAS TO WIN" and if the Card's do take the series they can do it at home in 7? Either way it was a fucking joke....Hell, EVEN ESPN got that one. Donnie laughing when he said it wasn't the clue?
You worry me Killeverything, and to think I wanted Boston to win. Until you take it back I wont let the Sox'z win.
Looks like Boston are getting their ass kicked so they'll have a game 6.killeverything wrote:LA won, guess they get eliminated in 6 now.
