I can't wait for him to come back in the middle of the season and for Scioscia to plug him in the #4/#5 spot right away, disrupting whatever chemistry has been developed without him.

2015 Spring Training began yesterday. MLB Network has already began to televise
the exhibition games. Baseball season only 1 month or so away.

ARod in the lineup and batting 2nd today. I hope he goes 3-3 with a HR today.

I doubt it, although I want him to reach those milestones in his contract and that shitbag organization having to pay him all that money.

Arod is a fucking douchebag playing for douchebags. It couldn't be a more perfect union.

Look what the DBacks are offering their fans this year? What a crazy idea for a menu item

Didn't Texas offer a giant piece of beef jerky or something similar a couple years ago? I think it was that, or a giant smoked sausage. It sold out in like minutes. I remember seeing it on Baseball Tonight and posting about here. I also remember thinking "I want one."

Brian Cashman wants to retire the "Captaincy" of the MFY, because Capt. Overated is the leaderiest leader in the history of leaders!

TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Thursday that no Yankee will succeed Derek Jeter as captain anytime soon, and maybe never again.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_ ... shman-says

This is what happens when there is not another "Retirement Tour" to shove down baseball's throat.

I think Cashman must have hit his head recently because his idea is stupid. The team should make someone else a captain and in the very near future. Time to pass the torch and let someone else who is worthy lead the team.

You don't need a captain. Who gives a shit?

Psyched ball is back, but I can't watch spring training, man. Tried to check out the Jays game yesterday and while it was cool to see Dan Norris on the hill, so many shitbags.

I still deal though, turns I kinda like baseball

Cute story with Hunter Pence's broken forearm. A twitter exchange between the pitcher that hit him and he was pretty cool.

Corey Black: Lost for words. Hope you heal fast @hunterpence hitting someone is never a good feeling. Hurting someone is even worse.

Hunter Pence: @CblackCHC It happens my friend. Thanks for the concern, it's part of the game we love. No slowing down!

Is Hunter Pence one of the most likeable guys playing right now? That's some Jose Batista shit right there. I love this Giants team. Once they got rid of Bonds, Kent, and Dusty I was happy to be from there again.

TJS looking likely for Darvish. Oh, no. We all knew there were a lot of miles on that arm.

Yu Darvish has UCL sprain Tommy John possible. Out at least 4 months.

Royals sign RHP Chris Young to a 1 year deal.

Omar Infante has bone spurs in right elbow, not continued long term.

Matt Harvey pitches 2 perfect innings in return, hits 99.

When will Tom House be given the credit he deserves for revulotionizing how to pitch
properly and save the arm from an injury? The guy is doing great work at USC but he is
ignored by MLB because they feel they know more than that man.
TJ surgery is getting to be common practice. Much like pulling a hamstring leads to a DL stint.

Joe Girardi states Masashiro Tanaka to make next start against Braves. I don't know how I feel about this. Tananka is such remarkable talent, but I feel they should probably just get him his TJ now. Resting your arm for a really long time, I'm almost certain has never fixed a tear ( Schilling, Pedro [ it's when Martinez became mortal ], Darvish. And those are just recent examples ). MFY or not I want to be able to see him pitch at his best.

Imagine a Tanaka vs. The King matchup. Who rules the AL?

9 Braves pitchers combine to no-hit the Astros in a 2-2 tie in ST today. A 2-2 tie, how is that possible? You ask. They gave up some walks including walking in two runs. Is the no-hitter really that impressive?

Don't forget Nolan had 7 no-hitters, but never a perfect game.

Blue Jays' Marcus Strohman out for season with torn left ACL.

Reports of Josh Hamilton's possible uocoming suspension surface. Superbowl weekend he got into a fight with his wife and since he is not allowed to carry cash or cards, he wrote himself a check and ended up at a stripclub. Where he used cocaine. He told mlb a few days before his drug test. Damn that guy's addiction is no joke.

Whoops.

I along with others favorited them to win/put up a huge fight in the AL East. I wonder if they're going to try to make a play for Hammels.

Dude, his tossing that ball to the guy who fell and died was the straw that broke the camel's back. Can you fucking imagine having that happen to you if you didn't have an addiction???

Yu Darvish to undergo Tommy John surgery.

Masashiro Tanaka made his return yesterday against the Braves pitching 2 perfect innings with 2K. I hope not, but I think his shoulder is a ticking time bomb.

Yesterday Will Ferrell played 10 positions for 10 different teams.

Image

Here he is playing for Seattle after being traded by the A's mid inning.

Joe Maddon thought it disrespected the game ( Ferrell also played for Chicago, go figure ). It was to raise money for cancer in an HBO, MLB, and Funny Or Die doc. or whatever that's coming up.

Chill out, Maddon. It was for a good cause and pretty funny. Will Ferrell is rarely funny. Let him have it. Jerk.

*edit

Wrong Maddon. It was John Madden ( who gives a fuck what that guy thinks? ) thought it disrespected a game he didn't play. Dick.

Farrell's day raised over 1m for charity.

Umpire Joe West is already in midseason "bad" form. Look at his ridiculous behavior last night during a Spring Training game. How is the man still allowed to wear an umpire uniform? I loathe AJ for all the right reasons but I have to stick up for him this time around.
