Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Looks like a crazy night in New York at the MSG Supercard show also
After the match, there was an incident involving fans and one of the Briscoes at ringside. Bully Ray ran out to help and Cabana said they should take the cameras off it. Toru Yano came out and revealed that he’d stolen the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles…
Powell’s POV: Hold the phone. That incident wasn’t with fans, it was with Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Reports from the building are that they jumped the guardrail. The broadcast team spoke for a while and you could see some of the commotion behind them since their desk faces away from the ring. Security was slow to get involved according to Dot Net Member Don Murphy, and thus there are suspicions that this was a worked shoot. Between this and the incident at the WWE Hall of Fame, this is one bizarre night. Anyway, the match was the insanity one would expect from those teams. PCO is crazy to be taking those bumps, especially at age 51. One thing that stood out during the match was that it was slotted too close to the Bully and Flip brawl on the card.

Attacking Bret Hart was such a classless move. He's had a stroke and cancer. Where was the fuckng security?

WrestleMANia 35
Wow what an epic show, so much happened and all the right people won (including Baron)
Was sad to see Buddy lose but the IIconics more than made up for it
OMG The streak Ended what an amazing moment
Elias was awesome as usual
Brock opening was a good start to the show could have done without the 15 min before the first match even started though
I really think the crowd was done after HHH V Batista, the show was just too long and I can see WM becoming a 2 night extravaganza at some point, not saying the last few matches were bad though
The womens match was good but like I said suffered because everyone had had enough
but overall a really solid Mania maybe even a top 10 all time

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
some of the booking didn't make sense.
-brock gets squashed? by seth????
-the revival must have asked for their release.
-the iconics? why? give the moment to natty and beth then drop the belts on raw.
-cena was there. why not a match with kurt? let corben interupt elias and start a program.
overall it was a good show. the main event..........meh, good not great. i wonder if the pin was a botch or storyline.
i can see ronda quiting over it if she's leaving to have a kid.
expect new tag champs monday.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Lynch win was the plannned ending. This gives a reason for Rousey to leave and her comeback has meaning.
Angle had zero chance winnng..he put overr a young heel
Seems like Ryder success winning IC belt and now tag champ is making up for all time wwe didn’t use him when he was at his peak
Kofi match was awesome it had everyone believing
Iconics winning was fun..just means Sasha will be a champ soon and back in spotlight again
Fun event solid B+

Garbage as usual. Give Cena and Hipster Honky-Tonk-Man Dr.Seussing it up the half hour you saved from Undertaker not walking to the ring this year, while making Joe/Mysterio a 2 minute squash match. Says it all. Well, at least no retro has-beens in the main event.
Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I've just about given up on the crap that WWE has made itself into.
Anything out there more like wrestling from the 80's & 90's?

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I'm feeling the same.
It's not for everyone, but I've gotten kind of hooked on Major League Wrestling. It has a small cult-like following.
Based in Florida, they have their own home-grown roster, but also have indie regulars.
They have actual long-running storylines. (I know.. what??) They have a couple of campy characters, but not too much.
They are on Be-In sports on Saturday nights... and they also have a Youtube channel where they upload all their shows.
https://www.youtube.com/user/majorleaguewrestling
Like I said, its not for everyone, but eh.. its better than Smackdown...
The above statement is just my opinion. Please direct all hate mail somewhere else
And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks Queen.
I used to watch that promotion years ago on the Sunshine Network.
Kinda forgot about it

When MSG was announced Omega,Cody, the Bucks, Bullet Club etc were the hottest names in wrestling, and were still with ROH and NJPW. That was a major factor to the Garden selling out. It was a great show, but would it have sold as well if everyone knew those guys were leaving ?FullDJacket wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 5:50 amNJPW and ROH just sold out MSG but TNT want to get in bed with old farts like Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes? You're probably right about that...I'm just saying that if there's a wrestling show on TNT with Jericho, Cody Rhodes and Omega as the top stars...then I'd rather watch WWE. And that's saying something since I don't make through Raw 90% of the time..
Jericho hasn't been good since the 90's.. and Cody has never been above mediocre.
