RAMPAGE did 549,000 viewers last night, Smackdown did 793, 000. So much for AEW taking over.

fox is in more homes than tnt. it makes total sense that smackdown has bigger numbers.ParaDime77 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:28 pm RAMPAGE did 549,000 viewers last night, Smackdown did 793, 000. So much for AEW taking over.

And Smackdown has a better time slot and a longer history. AEW is only two years in and Rampage has only been on air a couple of months. Give it enough time, and AEW could easily pull bigger ratings than WWE.Kid-Wicked wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 3:41 pmfox is in more homes than tnt. it makes total sense that smackdown has bigger numbers.ParaDime77 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:28 pm RAMPAGE did 549,000 viewers last night, Smackdown did 793, 000. smackdown also had 1/3 of their regular rating because they were on fox1 instead of fox. if i had to choose between wwe and aew i would chose aew. i'd rather see a fake fight look like a fight not a dance (ok, the bucks....yeah...not a fan) but watching danielson and suzuki blows away anything on wwe. fuck nxt. they jumped the shark. adam cole bay bayThat-guy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 4:34 amAnd Smackdown has a better time slot and a longer history. Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Awful Every Week opened the big mouth knowing FX1 rating gets less than half of Fox rating…and still WWE won
People took a look at Rampage with Punk and turned away every week..congrats on second lowest Rampage rating ever
The big question is Rampage can’t get any of the normal 2.2 million Fox gets weekly..people don’t turn into Awful Every Week on TBS
Competition is fun for WWE..ECW was great..AEW is just for desperate wrestling marks

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Putting their 2 biggest stars on a YouTube show and Rampage all in one night was dumb. AEW needs to turn the corner with some of their matchups. Time for Punk and Danieto get involved in some legit angles.

From the article:
There were many different talking points that followed the unexpected ratings news that when they went head-to-head on Fri., Oct. 15, AEW Rampage on TNT matched or beat WWE SmackDown on FS1 among the demographic groups advertisers are said to pay the most attention to. Among them was this item about how what each show was airing from 10:15 - 10:30pm ET performed among 18 - 49 year olds: Ruby Soho vs. Bunny tied Roman & Lesnar, both at 0.23

Why does the ratings matter to everyone.
I want to like both of them and competition leads to a better product
The attitude era might have never happens without wow comparison and the wow influence
I hope they both improve so wrestling will be interesting again

So what’s with Charlotte’s backstage issues? Supposedly she’s been pissing off half the women’s roster the past few weeks or so:

If Kevin Owens can make fun of Seth stealing from the Miz can he make fun of Kevin for wearing sleeveless shirts while sporting some of the nastiest armpit rash ever seen?

i don't get the whole "est" thing. i hate her hair. i hate the way she talks. no tits. she's athletic, but not a great worker. great smile though.
seems like the community is saying she's the best out there right now. i don't put her in the top 10.
end rant

They could’ve given Karrion Kross a major push and a WWE or Universal title run, but Vince screwed it up as usual. Sucks for him because he could have had a great heel run with major heat. Sucks for Ember, too, because she could’ve been one of the top women in WWE with the right push.

Okay, something’s gotta be up with Vince. Seems like this whole past year has been one giant spring cleaning.

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
Roster was dang near 200 deep. Time to trim a ton of fat as well as people Vince simply dies not want to use.
There a simply not enough spots for wrestlers these days. A small hand full will get picked, others will quit altogether. The Keith Lee, Eva Marie and Nia cuts were a long time coming.

I think it's because Triple H is now out of the loop. Think about this...who were WWE's biggest signings in the past 10 years? The ones who come to mind are Sin Cara, Nakamura and AJ Styles. Triple H was behind the signings of Sin Cara and Nakamura and they were both big failures. He lost the ratings war with NXT......so Vince probably had enough and won't listen to Triple H any more....dmbrocker wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:39 pmpaule5150 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:36 pmrecently added to the list :dmbrocker wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:13 pm

He’s popular but blew his chance for the big belt on his first night by dropping John Cena right on his neck.
And this idea of Japanese strong style is stupid. It’s pro wrestling you’re not supposed to be trying to hurt each other.
