Phil who? Seriously, this guy has 2 GW goals in the playoffs for $5 mill less than Kessell, who would have been curled up in the fetal position after game 2 of the Buffalo series.

Saturday was awesome. Best crowd I've seen at the Vault, which surprised me because of the time. The bars were crowded at 10. After the game Bergeron was walking from the arena with a crowd of about 100 or so fans following him. It looked like a rock star scene. Hilarious. Good times.

Niemi made some pretty athletic saves, but gave up way too many rebounds.
Still, he wasn't the problem. Too many giveaways, sloppy defense, cutesy passes when shots were there for the taking, and no physical play until the game was out of reach.
If they play like that again on Monday, the series will be all but over.
Don't give up on the Hawks yet, they'll come back and win this series!!!

Tonight will tell a lot about this series.
If they shit the bed again and go down 0-2 heading to Vancouver, that's a hard road back.
I do think they'll come out roaring, but they can't play 40 minutes and fade like they did most of the time post-Olympics.

This Versus schedule is really getting annoying with 2 games playing at once (barely separated by a half hour start time).

The Bruins win another close one and go up 2-0. Guess who had another goal last night. And coincidentally this player has 6 power play goals vs Philly. Not 5, not 7, but 6 - yes 6..yup 6

If he didn't have a cup from last year, I'd always yell "Hail Satan" until it was raised over his head.

Now that he has a cup, I'm not as big on the Bruins. It's not like Neely got to raise anything. Go Broad Street Bullies!

Of course i want the east beaten up in hops the Sharks win... just so the Sharks and Ducks will finally shame the Kings to win!

It's ridiculous what Crosby get's away with. The Habs are totally shutting him down through 2 periods tonight, yet if you look at the kid the wrong way you get called, and when he slashes and cross-checks (out of frustration) he gets nothing. 87 should have at least two penalties tonight and he keeps getting away with murder. Lame.

Well least the Chicago win makes the series interesting!

Lou has been solid in the last 4 games. Actually earning his money and not looking shakey at all.

The Wings are down by 3! Some of the calls against the wings have been absurd.

Flyers unlucky to be 2-0 down. Been doing everything right except win!

Another "stellar" goaltending performance from Jimmy Howard last night, wouldn't be surprised to see Osgood and his smug sense of self importance start the next game.

Myfoxphilly - An alert blogger in Boston spots a Bruins advertising campaign that says Philadelphia women are ugly. A billboard from the Bruins marketing department posted outside the Boston Garden warns local hockey fans about dating Flyers fans.
“Never date a Flyers fan,” the ad says. “Even if she shaves her moustache.”

The news comes as Philly sports fans battle an image perception problem after a Philadelphia cop tasered a teen on the ball field at Citizens Bank Park .

Hell...I thought that perception about Philly sport's fans being boorish louts, etc. has been widely held for years. If not, I've been mislead my whole life and I'm sorely disappointed. Oh, and "booooo!"

I've heard this from a few Wings fans the past couple of days. How many times a game does Kronwell leave his feet for a check yet never gets called? How often does Holmstrom interfer with goaltenders yet never gets called ?How often does Draper clutch, grab and hook per game, yet never gets called because of his pedigree? Things have a way of balancing out. If Jimmy Howard played a little better net, the Wings would lead this series 2-1, despite the appearance of calls going against them.

Oh on the whole the Wings get some decent calls it had to be said.

But just for this playoff series its been absurd and actually kind of spoilt it, unless you're a Sharks fan I guess. Its just been some really blatant bad calls as well. Not just the odd one here and there.

It's true. Oh well. Considering the Flyers barely made the playoffs and battled major injuries this year (Emery/Leighton, Carter/Gagne/Laperriere), this wasn't too bad.

I had 'em out of it before the playoffs.
So, I'll take it. Just a shame that Gagne, Lappy and Carter all went down right at the start of the playoffs.

Word this morning is that David Krejci has a broken wrist. Hopefully it's not because he, Lucic and Satan have been on fire since the playoffs started.

I really like those "History Will Be Made" ads that have been running during the playoffs. However, I REALLY like the parody ones people have come up with.
