You will hate it, the lighting system is horrible. WWE seems to think 1970s looking lighting is "cool" you won't to be able to see a lot

Wyatt entrance will be supercool
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

I remember in the 80s where a good deal of WWF house shows were in high school gyms.
Saw Superfly Snuka vs Ray Stevens where I would later play basketball at.
The boy's locker room was for heels & the girl's for faces.

Back then the WWF had A-B-C teams as did the NWA, lots of spot shows in hs gyms.

I had a really good time at MSG. I posted some photos and short videos in one of those new Instagram "Swipe left" collages. You can check it out here if you want: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRkI9Y5BPKN ... ffcerzosie

The show started with Shane McMahon coming out then being confronted by AJ which turned into Orton/AJ kicking things off, and to be honest, this was the worst match of the day. I don't know if it was because it was the first match, because it was a matinee show or what, but it was kind of boring.

The funny thing is, matches that I normally wouldn't pay too much attention to on TV were so much fun live; like a 6-man tag match with Rhyno, Slater and Kalisto vs Fandango, Breeze and Hawkins. This match was great and tons of fun. I guess it probably helped that New Yorkers love ECW alumni and Rhyno went over big.

Ziggler defeated Apollo Crews

Lesnar defeated Owens in under five minutes. Owens attacked Lesnar when he was taking his shirt off and got in a minute or two of asskicking, which was nice to see, but then inevitably Lesnar destroyed him. I was surprised at how early this match happened. And Lesnar is just a tank in person.

Divas had an 8 Women Tag Match with Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch, Tamina Snuka and Asuka made her MSG debut - they defeated Carmella, Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. Not to be a creep but some of the women are even hotter in person.

Intercontinental Fatal Four Way Match - DEAN AMBROSE VS. LUKE HARPER VS. BARON CORBIN VS. THE MIZ (WITH MARYSE)
This match was pretty good, a little weird at times but Miz was actually the highlight for me. Very old school heel with some really funny moments including a point where all 3 of the other guys were down and he tried pinning them all one by one, to no avail of course.

American Alpha defeated the Usos. This match was just filler, although, even as heels, the crowd popped pretty big for the Usos and it was a very kid-friendly crowd.

And of course, the Main Event, Wyatt vs Cena - great match. Although, it was going really well then Wyatt randomly leaves the ring and gets counted out, then Shane came out, restarted the match, making it no count-outs, no DQ - to which they took advantage, fighting all over the floors of the Garden, using Chairs, Tables and Guard Rails, with Wyatt getting the pinfall after hitting Cena in the nuts. Then to send the crowd home happy, Wyatt said he was going to end Cena's career, set up another table and then Cena turned it around and put Wyatt through it, followed by his music and show's over.

They were billing the Lesnar/Owens match as some kind of "Special Feature" or something. I wonder if it's a foreshadowing of the next draft they plan on doing, although I really can't see them moving Lesnar to Smackdown.

ETA - They also weren't calling this Smackdown Live - just WWE Live - and 'The Road To WrestleMania'

they would have done that for ticket sales. was it sold out? msg is so expensive to rent that nobody makes a profit on those shows. they need the sellouts.

It was a pretty close sell out, although I have a friend who works at a radio station in Long Island and they gave away a ton of tickets.

Just awful news. He adored that woman. Tragic.

Didn't know about Ron Bass. What set up the hair shaving was angle they did on SNME where Bass took the spurs from his cowboy boots and got color on Brutus. They aired it with the big red X across the screen. Classic chickenshit heel work.

I think Nash summed up Goldberg with the strap the best:
"The people wanted it. They demanded it. But it created a huge problem. He's got the strap and all, but we had to write 20 minute main events for PPV and it was hard to get 8 minutes at a house show."

Some dude died at WWE last night;

http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/201 ... -portland/

Our correspondent at Saturday's WWE live event in Portland, Maine sent word that a man fell out at his seat and hit the floor after having a heart-related incident as the second match of the night was about to begin.

Paramedics were called over and they moved the man to another location to administer CPR, which went on for about 20 minutes. He was then taken away on a stretcher.
Our correspondent noted that the man was rushed to Maine Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Below are tweets from another fan in attendance:

Damn they take Jerry Lawler off TV and this is what happens.

Have you guys been watching Impact Wrestling since they finally got rid of the head/mark of the company Dixie Carter?

A group called Anthem owns the owns the company now.

And I guess there is no more TNA and they just go by Impact Wrestling I may be wrong on that but I don't think I am.

So anyway their two hour show on Thursday nights has actually been pretty good.

It looks like Bruce Pritchard and Dirty Dutch Mantel are some of the guys behind the scenes running the show and maybe not sure all together but Jeff Jarret is back in a off camera role helping with creative.

Somehow they've actually made women's wrestling fun to watch with the storylines going on and Maria from WWE is doing a great job as a heel.

Check it out for yourself I hope they keep going on the path there on now.

I'm not shit talking WWE but it is nice to see another company out there that is putting on some good TV shows.

I know it won't happen but if they got together with ROH that would be killer.

Meltzer reports that there will be an angle in the Taker/Reigns match to allow him to retire. He's years overdue for a career ending neck/shoulder injury.

When asked for comment on Undertaker's retiring, Kevin Nash began speak then tore a quad.

Jim Cornette to induct RNR Express into WWE HOF. Never thought I'd say that in my life. He's also been added to Axxess. Says if the price is right and they work around his schedule he MIGHT consider a Legends deal but really doesn't need or want to do it.

Underwhelming build up to Mania. Three high profile matches featuring part timers while a potentially excellent Neville/Ares match is bumped to the pre-show so there's time for a Pitbull/FloRida performance.

Nikki should have said "no" Then Perfect 10 walks down and Nikki manages him for next few years. Star born overnight

Mania started great then took nosedive
Wyatt had great thing going with head games during match then Orton wins in less that 11 minutes. Damn Wyatt is Mania jobber. That's best for business?
Goldberg champ and match was a joke
Smackdown girls match so rushed and bad ending
Taker match was pretty awful overall. Ending of Taker was cool, thought his retirement would have been better, but it was ok

Biggest star on Smackdown Ambrose pre show?
Overall C+
Mania 30 31 32 all great, 33 not so much
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

why didn't angle do something??
i missed the battle royal. was drew drew mcintyre in it? if not he should have been.

JR was good.

The Hardys back and winning the titles was fucking stupid. Enough with these old fucks coming back and shitting on the young talent the WWE has that gets pushed aside. There are plenty of tag teams that can hold that gold. Perform well. And, last night, those tag teams got the shaft. I wouldn't mind it if the Hardys put in the work, wrestled a lot like the other tag teams all year, then won. Even my kid was saying after that match "So, now I get why CM Punk left. The younger talent does get the shaft for has beens.." LOL

Just like Goldberg winning the title from Kevin Owens a little bit back. Stupid. I was glad to see Brock win it, but, that is another one who doesn't put in the work now. I don't care what they have done in the past. But, they fill seats. I suppose.

Bummed Taker may be done. But, it is a young man's game. Stoked because now even more heat is on Roman. Love it. Love the fact that everyone hates this guy.

Cena, wish he would go away.

Not the worst, not as good as last year but I enjoyed it mostly.

Shane/Styles was a superb match. As was the RAW Women's but Sasha can't catch a break. Hardy was cool, but the Club should have went over in chickenshit heel fashion, creating a chase for the belts and rejuvenate the division.

Cena's proposal got more heat than any of the matches, save for Reigns. Anyone else notice how WWE muted the crowd during his entrance? Taker looked like a broken down man which was sad to see. WM isn't going to be the same. Very powerful stuff at the end. Supposedly there's a pic circulating of Roman crying backstage after the match saying he didn't want to do it. 6/10 overall
