Mildly interesting how they had her lose to Asuka on NXT before bringing her up to the main card. I'm sure they'd have bought her up by now if there was more depth in the NXT women's division.

The RAW segment with Corey Graves and Baylee was beyond cringeworthy.

Not feeling Baylee at all, best thing for her would to miss Mania because of injury. When she came back the tears of disappointment would give fans something to cheer about

James and Bliss grand slam!

WWE future is so bright it's almost unbelievable, great fun event

Cena with belt at Mania 1/2 barf
He should lose in two weeks
Bray vs Orton Mania still happening
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

I only saw the ending to the Cena match and the Rumble itself...Am I just old and bitter or was that a pretty terrible Rumble?

And seriously, Orton?

Eh...

The only way Orton winning will redeem itself for me is if the plan is for him to win the title BEFORE Mania, then drop it to Wyatt. THAT would be worth dealing with Orton in the Main Event at Mania.

And so I guess it's going to be Reigns/Taker at Mania and one more Goldberg/Brock match, which better have a HUGE payoff where Lesnar maybe legit murders Goldberg on live television or something lol

No surprise entrants. No Kurt Angle.

Jericho being in the entire Rumble usually makes the entire thing worthwhile but he barely did anything this time so even that was a disappointment; not to mention with him lying around all night I thought MAYBE they were going to have him win and set up him and Owens at Mania, which would have been great...but, that obviously didn't happen either...

Eh. I'm gonna go yell at some kids to get off my lawn...

Old, bitter, ugly front yard
Rumble was great, your favorite doesn't win doesn't make it a bad rumble. Tons of great moments. Event from start to finish was great

I don't think I really had a favorite in it per se, but Orton? I never understood the appeal of the guy other than the hilarious RKO Out Of Nowhere Videos that exist now.

I don't know. Usually I can go years being out of touch with Wrestling and still enjoy the Royal Rumble. In fact, a few recent Rumbles that people complained about I thought were good. For some reason tonight's just didn't do it for me. But I am a miserable fuck, so that could have something to do with it.

You're not a miserable fuck in your take. Everything you said was spot on about last night. It was sloppy and unorganized, the Rumble portion that is. I did enjoy Styles/Cena, but seriously the WWE false finish/2 count shit needs to stop. Crowd was into it all night which was cool.

The last PPV that you thought they couldn't possibly ruin totally sucked on Sunday. AJ Styles was the only redeeming match there, with the obvious wrong winner. The Rumble match had nobody to root for with the boring, washed-up "monsters" having their private party while everybody conveniently went to sleep. Worst ever.

That was great, although I'm not really feeling Okada, going back to his TNA days. Takahashi/Kushida was amazing, and so was Tanahashi/Naito. Not sure I could follow NJPW regularly, though.

Oh, and am I the only one who thought the ramp to the ring was ridiculously too long? Although it did make me miss the Warrior.

I don't know. I'm glad some of you share my complaints.

They had a cart that brought some more of the bigger guys to the ring that was off camera. I saw a video of them doing it for a few guys. They would come out from backstage so you could see them and then the camera would cut back to the ring and they would hop on the cart.

Oh, ok. I'm not as up to date with the goings-ons of the new guys and NXT as others are so I didn't know if any of the newer wrestlers were supposed to be a surprise.
