I'm going to have to order one of those. That shop has some other funny t-shirts bums me out they don't sell the golden sunglasses. Thanks for the link.
I'm astonished that Corny is involved with this. It's a short term deal through December, mainly as a favor to Dutch. But still. Jarrett isn't it a good way right now. He's been showing up to bookings and GFW meeting on pills or booze.ParaDime77 wrote:In today's news, Anthem is looking to sell Global Force/Impact and Jeff Jarrett pushed out in a 'leave of absence'. What a shit show.
Yeah I've been binging on a lot of Prichard's stuff lately. You make Tony's podcast sound good, so I'll check that out eventually.Artemis2085 wrote:ParaDime77 wrote: I usually listen to podcasts to fall asleep to and lately it's been the Schiavone & Bitch Pritchard ones. Conrad's attempts at humor border on homophobic, and he's not using the word Innuendo right. "Roll Tide on that." I'd like roll tide right in his fat fucking face. Anyways, here's some fun tidbits from the shows:
* Flair's story about Rude shooting on Warrior in Savannah is BS. Rude was upset bc when Warrior/Andre were touring, Warrior would bring Andre a bottle of his favorite wine every night and say "Here you go. Thanks, Boss." Rude got hot & said "I spent a year getting him over and never even got a fucking Gatorade from the guy." That was it.
* Rude quit in '90 due to feeling he wasn't being used right (which he wasn't), and his SummerSlam check being a quarter of Warrior's ($800K). He left again in '97 over Montreal and a $900K guarantee over 3 years from WCW. At the time of his death he was attempting to train for another comeback, or get into MMA.
Tony's podcast is awesome. Unlike Prichard, Schiavone doesn't hold anything at all back. Then at the end of the program, Tony calls a match from the PPV/era/wrestler who is one of the funniest things ever. "Goddamn, Conrad. I'm getting depressed just having to do notes about the show."Drunken Little Elf wrote:

With regards to Rude/Warrior, as completely full of shit as Flair is, Bret wrote similar things in his book. So maybe shooting isn't the right word, but apparently Rude would be very stiff with Warrior on a nightly basis.
Those mini movies! Cheatum the one-eyed midget! I wonder if he's even still alive?Artemis2085 wrote:I'm astonished that Corny is involved with this. * Original main event for WM7 was Hogan/Warrior 2, but Hulk said no. Then Hulk/Vince were going to turn Tugboat into the Iraqi sympathizer and go with Hogan/Sheik Tugboat.
* I've mentioned this before, but Demolition were indeed to debut in WCW in time for Halloween Havoc. But they couldn't come to an agreement with Herd. Herd also had meetings with Savage & Honky, but they couldn't work out anything either. Hogan was ready to come to WCW in late '92 but refused to work with Watts & the money wasn't there. For instance, Arn Anderson went from making $250K a year to $99,000 a year thanks to Watts
* Watts put the strap on Ron Simmons simply as a PR stunt, hence why he sabatoged his reign with bad booking in title programs with Tony Atlas & Barbarian.
* The mini movies like White Castle of Fear, Spin The Wheel and the infamous Beach Blast/Lost In Cleveland made their way onto the air due to Ole claiming Turner demanded it. When actually, it was a favor to his side piece (a THE employee).
Somebody was nice enough to isolate it and put it on Youtube.Artemis2085 wrote:
When he does Halloween Havoc '92- Sting vs. Jake, if you're not a fan or laughing be a dear and check your pulse. "Sting is still down on the mat, as Jake heads up that pole for the coal miners glove! Will his fat ass make it up there?! It's hard to believe that Sting is wrestling Jake at maybe age 29, while Jake is a plucky 85 years old!"
I believe they are mostly just audio. I seem to recall Vince Russo had some video content, but I have no clue if it is still the case.eddie lee roth wrote:On these podcasts are they video or just strictly audio?
I've never listened to a podcast before but it sounds like there is about a million of them I'd like to follow.
Yes, anything Cornette related is worth your time, video or not . With that said, check out Kayfabe Commentaries. They are a shoot interview company, but a ton of their stuff is on Youtube as well. There is a visual component as well. I would recommend anything with Cornette, Nash and HTM.eddie lee roth wrote:Thanks I'll do that. On YouTube I've had some of those recommendations that they give you and they're from I guess Jim Cornett's podcast because there's no video and I've enjoyed those little clips.
I grew up hating on him and his original Midnight Express from back in the old Mid-South days. As a grown up I of course can look back and see how good he was at what he did. Plus he talks like me, cusses up a storm.
In the interest of saving you time for your search, I believe everything wrestling related in on Podcast One.eddie lee roth wrote:Alright cool thanks for the tips. When I'm on my iPad there's a podcast icon I guess I can search for all of those from there.
It couldn't hurt. Admittedly I've never really searched Podcasts, as I just listen to them on Youtube. But based on what we have been discussing, I believe Podcast One is the site you want. I don't recall ever using the site, but you mentioned you have an app, so I would bet you're more familiar with that stuff than I am.eddie lee roth wrote:So I should just Google it and see what's all available?
I saw that last night.Drunken Little Elf wrote:Somebody was nice enough to isolate it and put it on Youtube.Artemis2085 wrote:

"Jake is climbing the pole. Sting comes up behind him with a belly to back! Jake is lying on the mat thinking 'I can't believe I gave up all of that sweet WW fucking F merch money for this bullshit!' Great crowd on hand at the Philadelphia Civic Center...too bad you can't see a damn one of them because they're not lit and it's dark as shit."

And there's a certain wrestling torrent site that's doing a Free Leach on a TON of shoot interviews. I downloaded:
*WCW Timeline '91 w/Barry Windham
*WCW '89 with Corny
*ECW '98 with New Jack
*Guest Booker w/Corny
*WWF '94 w/X Pac (he was there)
*WWF '95 w/Nash
*WCW '97 w/Nash
OMFG! I probably would have literally pissed myself laughing. So were you at WM6??Labatt wrote:Likewise
I remember being at the airport in Toronto the morning after Wrestlemania at the Skydome. I was on the same flight as Heenan and Monsoon. They were sitting across from me at the gate arguing about the canadian money and how much they actually had in american dollars. I was cracking up the whole time.
Search for XWT. You'll have to become a member and keep a good ratio to stay on the site. But the shoots are free leach right now.eddie lee roth wrote:I sure would hate it if you would give us a link to these interviews so please just keep giving us nibbles and bits cause I'm sure nobody in this thread would be interested.
