I said this another thread:

Hell of a game. But to leave 11 RSP is something that's going to be talked about for a long time. Yu and Kershaw got exposed at times. But all in all, what a great fucking Series. Certainly the best I've ever seen.

Congrats, Astros.
Add another team to the list that got a ring before the Yankees got their next one. :D

I knew LAD wouldn't pull it off but they had the shot if Roberts didn't out manage himself and blow his WAD in game 2........It was a hell of a series, hats off to the Stros.
UtahRatt wrote:I'm giving the edge to the Stros.......Question marks with Clayton's game and his back issues, Seager's up in the air, Bellinger's inexperience is more miss than hit now and it would have been sweet with AGON at DH but after looking at the last two line ups vs the CUBS I wasn't impressed. Should be a good series.

And fuck this......Houston deserved to win because of the floods!
Didn't California suffer the worst fires in history? How many dead? Over a million acres torched, neighborhoods completely melted it looked like Iraq.....Not to mention Weinstein! We can't harass women anymore?

Really, FUCK the Stro's infield! Altuve and that bunch makes Puig act like Ripken, Jr........Yuli Gurriel 5 game suspension for racist gesture but doesn't have to serve until next season, fuck that BanannaMoHawk boat wearing fucker. Yuli looks like he head scrubbed a urinal. It resembles a peroxide dyed landing strip vagina. Did Manfred learn how to hand down suspensions from Goodell? Ezekiel Elliott beats a woman but it's ok we'll work on it after the season if ever.

Deserve to win my ass. Might as well give it to the Marlins, Ray's or the NBA to the JAZZ since we lived under a layer of 100 degree smoke and fire all summer. Coast to coast suffered destruction not just Houston......But really, fuck their infield they make Javier Baez likeable. They don't deserve anything other than beating the Wankees.

Speaking of Yasiel Puig......His house was robbed during the game 7 loss. DOH! I'm sure he'll survive but fuck that's jacked up. He DESERVED TO WIN BECAUSE OF THAT!

Dodgers' Yasiel Puig burglarized during Game 7 of World Series......

Josh Beckett arrested for assaulting country singer on stage.

http://m.tmz.com/#2017/11/11/josh-becke ... ge-attack/

Wild. It amuses me that ten years ago, the 2007 ALCS, arguably the pinnacle of Beckett's Red Sox career. The obese losing pitcher is still relevant and Beckett became a drunken hillbilly.

A millionaire drunken hillbilly that's wife is a fucking aeronautics engineer, but a drunken hillbilly nonetheless.

Oh well. 2003 will always rule.

*ETA

His lawyer says that he was stage diving and his foot got stuck.

Stage diving. At an open mic country night. Come on! Who is going to believe that? At least say in hid inebriated state he kept yelling to "play some Skynrd, man!" They've should've played some fucking Skynrd.

Did I ever thank you for sending him to LAD? That's probably because he was on the payroll longer than he was on the mound.

I love the Superman picture, the comments and pic's slay me.......
Possibly Josh Beckett Does Not Understand The Concept Of Stage Diving
https://deadspin.com/possibly-josh-beck ... 1820364013

We’ve all been at open mics where this needed to happen.

Was Dusty Baker nearby?

Buzzed Baseball Buffoon Beckett, Behaves Badly - Brusquely Banzais, Blindsides, Boot-Scoot Band Bro. Blames Beer, By Golly.

The rapid medical evaluation on the torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder was completed by the #800 Lawyer sitting at the bar drinking Bud Ice Light.

can there be any doubt that same spirit will now see him through the pending ordeal of his upcoming civil suit
(AP reports the singer has subsequently developed a stutter when warbling, which court experts say will surely mean a much larger award for the plaintiff)

I would posit that if you have your shirt tucked into Khaki shorts, whatever activity you are engaging in cannot be called stage diving.

Free Bird!

Beckett is someone that I expected to have a long, potential HOF career and he turned out completely different.

He came up a 6'9" cocky fireballer from Spring, TX. I used to love watching him play. His "all you motherfuckers go home!" to the MFY fans after handing them their asses in the WS was epic.

He came to Boston with that same fire and ended up being the chicken, video games, and beer guy in the 2011 collapse. What the hell happened? That was before his back went bad too.

The amount of shit contracts Magic and friends took on to get Adrian Gonzalez was insane.

Yeah, correct me if I'm missing someone, but I can't think any two more deserving.

I don't think ( even though he's certainly in the running ) Judge deserves MVP, because of gis slump but ROY easily.

Paul Molitor ( Twins ) and Torey Luvollo ( Diamondbacks ) win AL and NL Managers Of The Year.

Corey Kluber and Max Scherzer win the Cy Young.
Scherzer all but punched his ticket to Cooperstown with his third Cy. With the exception of Clemens all 3+ time winners are either active or in.

Randy Johnson (x5), Carlton (x4), Maddux (x4), Koufax, Pedro, Jim Palmer, Seaver, Kershaw (active, but there ain't no way he's not getting in ). I still think King Felix was robbed a couple times ( 2012 and 2014 ), but that's a discussion for another time.

Japanese sensation Shohai Otani has told both NY ( AL & NL ) and Boston they are out of the running to sign him. NY's media is acting as expected about it. He would prefer a west coast team with both TX and CHC in the mix.

I think he signs with Seattle is my gut feeling. His stuff as a pitcher is ace level, but I think as a hitter he'll be susceptible ML pitching. Scouting reports has him with a long swing and not a lot of pop. At least at the mlb level.

Seattle is one more starter away from being a legitimate playoff threat ( assuming King stays healthy and can be #2/3 status. I'm pissed at the org for wasting his beat years. Jack Zdurincik? Really? ). Plus ( even though he hasn't played in a couple years ) he's athletic enough to sometimes man the OF. Nelson Cruz out there in 2018? Remember his "defense" costing Texas the WS in 2011?

The Stanton sweepstakes are to be announced in a couple days. The word is he doesn't really want to end up in St. Louis. It is said they've increasdd their financial offer and propects ( which they're loaded with. It's the fucking Cardinals ) How? SF Already said they would cover the whole contract.

Anyways, his preference is LAD, but even the Dodgers don't have that kind of money available. I'm still expecting them to swoop in though. Jeter and friends just want the contract gone so if all three teams will cover that?

It will be interesting.

LAD, LAAA, SF, SEA, SD, CHC, TX.
