See if they can at least get it back to Houston

I hope not. I’m ready for these last 26 years of frustration to be over and done with. Your boys matched us pretty evenly at first, so no shame in that.

Braves bullpen is blowing it again. Looks like we might get a game 6 after all.

Astros finally showed some balls, coming back after the Grand Slam.

See if that attitude and desire can carry on to Game 6.

Will bee interesting to see if that loss has an effect on the Braves.
Both teams should be feeling the pressure. Not sure either team has any advantage there.

congrats to the Braves. they were by far the better team in this series.
What a monster HR that was hit. Been to Minute Maid many times and that has to be the most impressive one I have ever seen. sorry cannot remember the batters name.
As an Astros fan I had a very bad feeling when they had 2 on and no outs in first inning and Correa whiffed on 3 straight pitches. Momentum evaporated quickly.

Side note, Houston window might be closing with the inevitable loss of Correa, along wit the previous ones.
But, I feel for whatever team gives Correa 300 million will live to regret that deal.

A lot of people are. I've always liked Verlander, but he's been injured a lot lately and it seems like a massive overpay.

Didn't see or hear a word after the NLCS, they didn't even show WS news till the Braves won and it was just a short clip that gave me a laugh how they added in the 17 Cheatro's scandal.....Even my local news station hates um.....Just now I'm catching up and got another laugh at this...

"If Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker finally wins a World Series but no one watches the games, does the victory actually count?
The Astros took on the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday, but the contest produced historically low rankings, according to Eric Fisher of SportBusiness Group. Game 1 of the World Series averaged 10.8 million viewers, the lowest figure ever for a game at a non-neutral site."

'Why aren't people tuning into the Astros-Braves World Series?'
'The bigger story surrounding the Astros continues to be the fallout from the team's cheating scandal. People hate watch television shows all the time, but seeing the Astros play on the biggest stage just years removed from a major scandal doesn't give off the same energy.'
"10.8 million viewers for World Series Game 1.......The Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots averaged 23.2 million viewers in Week 6 during a day game."

The cheating fucked the game, the slap on the wrist was a joke....Telling all teams not to make statements about the NON-punishment was criminal.

Baseball is losing popularity because MLB has the worst marketing strategy ever in the history of Sports . Just living off of the past.
They have so many young marketable stars that they doing nothing with.
Otani
Tatis
Vlad jr
etc

list goes on and on. make them familiar faces outside of the baseball world and ratings will improve.
People like to watch "Stars" Basketball does a tremendous job selling their product this way.

They need to modernize their marketing approach or continue to get lower ratings.

I read LAD is looking at Freddie Freeman
There's also talk about Carlos Rodon?

Anyway.....
Buehler, Urias and Dustin May are young studs....Ya Dustin going out early last season put his time frame back, he'll miss time but so far his recovery is good..... They lost to the Braves because half of their starting team was on the IR....Their top bat's were gone and down to 3 over worked pitchers....What an impressive win for Atlanta. Spanking Houston was the humor.

LAD isn't the same team but they're still deep and a trade or two from being right back to being dangerous. I don't expect Trevor Bauer to pitch again but he opted to comeback and LAD activated him last I seen...That's if he makes it back. If that happens without any more issues the rotation looks top notch.

Problem is...........Will there be Baseball in 2022.

And... Jeremy Giambi's death ruled a suicide. Gunshot to the chest.
https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/athl ... 861082.php

He was the player out at home when Jeter made "The Flip" (one of the greatest plays of all-time), and if not for him injured and tanking in 2003 with the Red Sox, David Ortiz doesn't play full-time and turn into Big Papi as they knew it.

RIP Giambi.

As much as I hate NY ( LA too, really ) it's hard to top the MFY pinstripes. That uniform is iconic and would get my vote for #1.

And they just locked him up to a long-term contract. Good for the hometown boy. While it's a longer-term contract than what Freeman was asking for, Olson is five years younger.
