I agree. He just let Edgar decide the pace of the fight. His behavior during his intro and when he got to the octagon was like he was being led to the gallows.

Yeah when the guys was trying to put the banner up they
stuck it in his ear and he never moved, im like wtf?
Then he never warmed up like most the guys do and his eyes looked blank like no one was home...

Between the eye-gouging, fish hooking, head butting, hair pulling, and incredibly late stoppage, hell yeah.

Also, I want Don Frye and Bas Rutten to commentate every MMA event, ever.

Houston vs Soakajew was the fight of the night. Loved when Houston got clocked in the 1st round that he was hiding behind the other fighter's leg brace (or whatever it was) so he wouldnt get hit as hard. Beginning of 2nd when Houston threw that straight left you knew Soakajew was done. The guy shot his wad in the 1st round.

Yeah, what was with the late stoppage? Soakajew took way too many punches.

For me it took a few fights to get used to the announcers. After awhile they were fun to listen to. Although, in my opinion, nobody is better than Joe Rogan. The passion and knowledge he brings to the sport is unbeatable.

I felt bad for the dean of mean Keith Jardine. He looks like he belongs in the sport, but losing his last 5 fights proves otherwise.

Charles Oliveira vs. Efrain Escudero - short fight, great ending

Nate Marquardt vs. Rousimar Palhares - short fight, terrible ending

Agreed. The other two fights were pretty good too.

I knew Palhares was uneducated just from listening to him talk, but I didn't know he was stupid. Well actually I did, just look at him. What kind of an idiot stops paying attention to his opponent to bitch to the ref?

The Oliveira fight was good, but what's with the ref telling him "let's go let's go" after that nut shot? He has 5 minutes, no?

I like how he pushed Escudero against the cage and took him down on the rebound.

There is nothing on this planet I would like to see more than Crocop LHKing Mir's head into the 5th row.

Sadly, I don't think that will happen.

I'm not a Frank Mir fan either. Whenever he goes against a true heavyweight he get his ass handed to him. However, this time around he seems not as cocky as the previous fights.

But you've gotta love the look Hughes is giving him in that pic.

Too bad, I was looking forward to Silva handing him his ass in the rematch.

I really wanted Sonnen to win that match, but I have to admit that somewhere Silva is hearing about this and laughing his ass off.

My guess is he used it to make an injury heal faster.
During training, these guys get all banged up. My guess is a large percentage of these fighters use, but have a way to not get caught. Sonnen just happened to get caught.

I just came across this on youtube, pretty funny. Wanderlei confronts Sonnen about his trash talk against Brazil and the Nogueiras.

Around the 3:50 mark.

Every time one gets caught, they spin it as if it's medicine to treat an injury as if that justifies cheating since it suggests they are only trying to level the field. Fact is they use it to recover faster and get stronger and treating injuries has nothing to do with it.

No shit Sherlock.
no kidding dipshit, recovering faster=an injury that is helped to heal faster. Use common sense Holmes.

Great card, and DREAM is always exciting, definitely tuning in. Glad you reminded me, I was thinking it was tomorrow night. Kinda bummed they scrapped the rumored Joe Warren Vs. Omigawa, but oh well.

Also, I don't know if you guys saw Santiago vs Misaki 2 a couple weeks ago from Sengoku, but it's easily fight of the year so far IMO. The 1st round is kind of slow, but the last 3 and a half rounds are epic.

I'm gonna miss the UFC tonight. Not bummed at all about missing Mir v Crocop, that has almost no interest for me. However, I am kinda bummed about missing Mitrione fight again. I love how he went through his last fight looking stoned and amused and still won. I hope he does it again!

I'm just happy that I talked the bar I was playing at tonight to pay for the UFC 119 PPV and air it while we were gigging. Not quite the result I was hoping for in the Mir versus Cro Cop fight though. :?

It's sad seeing Cro Cop these days, he's just blatantly showing up
for the paycheck. I actually put some chump change on Mirko hoping
he'd surprise me, but it wasn't to be. But won it back by Sherk getting
the decision :)
