Huh. How far behind am I? Who are the coaches? I'll look it up. But you can tell me this... Is it worth catching up on?

He may have, I didn't really watch it, its like a Gsp fight without the dominance. I looked every now and then and most of the times Henderson was either on the bottom or carrying Thompson on his shoulders trying to avoid a sub, while Rogan was screaming "HENDERSON LOOKS OUTSTANDING".

Based on that, the booing after the decision and the fact that Thompson had a broken hand, I concluded that Rogan is crazy, Bendo wasn't outstanding and maybe didn't deserve the win.

Rogan has a tendency to lock in on a fighter or something & just stay with that the entire fight.
If you saw the younger Pettis against that Bruce Lee wanna be, the entire fight Rogan was talking how great Pettis looked & was doing. That was until he got nailed in the 2nd rd & eventually taken out in the 3rd.

Henderson has zero PPV value whatsoever.
Henderson is in the same position as JDS. Will always be near the top, but never as good or will another fight happen with the top dog in their divisions.

I wish they would go longer. There's so much backstage stuff that so cool to see.
Was that a painful scream to watch or what!?!

Yeah, same here. She's got some serious game.
She tore it up big time.

Julianna Pena will be forced to withdraw from her scheduled bout against Jessica Andrade at UFC 171 after suffering a gruesome injury to her right knee, sources close to the situation told MMAFighting.com on Wednesday.

Pena (5-2), the first female winner of The Ultimate Fighter, suffered the injury on Monday while grappling in training, ultimately damaging, among other aspects, her ACL, MCL, LCL and meniscus. She is expected to undergo surgery next Thursday in Los Angeles.

Despite the severity of the injury, doctors have assured Pena that her right knee will return to full strength following surgery and rehabilitation.

Pena, 24, steamrolled through TUF 18 in 2013, submitting Shayna Baszler and Sarah Moras in succession before stopping Jessica Rakoczy with punches in the first-round of the season's finale.

2 years? Fuuuuck. Chick is set to provide some fireworks and this shit happens. Unreal:

TUF 18 winner Julianna Pena may be out two years with multiple leg injuries

Yesterday we told you that The Ultimate Fighter season 18 winner Julianna Pena injured her knee and was forced to pull out of UFC 171. Today, we know a little bit more about the extent of her severely injured knee.

Pena's coach, Rick Little, told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani that Pena tore her ACL, MCL, LCL, a meniscus and a hamstring, calling it the worst injury he's ever seen. UFC president Dana White spoke with Pena while she was at the hospital and reports that the TUF winner will be out for two years.

White also tweeted his opinion that Pena should leave her team because of the injury.

What happened to @VenezuelanVixen at "her gym" is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard," tweeted White. "Ranked #10 out for 2 years. #leavethatgymnow.

Pena's gym is Sik-Jitsu Fighting Systems, which also houses fellow TUF winner Michael Chiesa and UFC featherweight Sam Sicilia.

Pena's coach Little defended his gym on twitter to White saying, "@danawhite that gym handed u 2 ultimate fighters raised from teenagers created from scratch, there is a reason she destroyed evry1 in UFC."

Little also took to the Underground Forum to explain the situation a bit more. According to the UG, the injury happened during an over aggressive training session, which followed up a short warm up. While grappling with a training partner, Pena's knee locked up and also got hyper-extended, causing the knee to buckle under her.

Dana White: Julianna Pena injured knee when she was '€˜attacked' at her gym

Dana White claims Julianna Pena was “basically attacked” by a guy at her gym and that’s how she ended up with what he describes as “the worst knee injury I’ve ever heard of ever in the sport.”

The UFC president said he spoke with Pena right after the incident Monday and she was hysterically crying. White said the first female "Ultimate Fighter" winner is out up to two years after tearing the ACL, MCL, LCL, meniscus and hamstring in her right leg.

“She was training in her gym and one of her training partners, a guy, was saying to her, ‘Oh you’re wearing your 'Ultimate Fighter' shirt – we’re real scared,’” White said at UFC 169 media day Thursday at Madison Square Garden. “He was talking smack to her and then basically attacked her.”

White said the male “jumped on her back, started cranking her neck” and her leg gave out under the pressure. Pena trains at the Sikjitsu gym in Spokane, Wash. White said he wasn’t sure who the training partner was.

“SHE WAS TRAINING IN HER GYM AND ONE OF HER TRAINING PARTNERS – A GUY – WAS SAYING TO HER, ‘OH YOU’RE WEARING YOUR ULTIMATE FIGHTER SHIRT – WE’RE REAL SCARED.'”
- Dana White
“The most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” White said.

"UFC Tonight" reporter Ariel Helwani got a different story from her coach Rick Little on Wednesday. Little said that Pena trains very aggressively – up to three times per day – and injured her leg during an unsupervised session because she didn’t warm up properly.

“That’s so far from the story she told me right after it happened when she was hysterically crying,” White said. “Completely opposite. … Somewhere in the middle lies the truth. You know what I mean?”

White had some advice for Pena on Twitter on Wednesday night and doubled down on it Thursday.

The gym is doing damage control
& of course with Dana White its the end of the world &
a crime was committed.
I love Dana, but sometimes its better to keep mouth shut
until both sides of the story are told.
She might be out 2 years. That really sucks because the girl
could fight & easy to look at with the eyes.

Today is Rousey's birthday. Those of you on Facebook need to check out the UFC's birthday wish for her, specifically the comments. They are absolutely brutal. My favorite so far is "I would call her a cunt, but she lacks the warmth and the depth." Ha!

My Take-
Aldo has zero ppv value. He's right up there with Ben Henderson.

Dana should throw Overeem to Cain & be done with him. My guess
is he fights JDS.

Too bad for Faber. Personally think Herb Dean called it too quick.
The one thing is Faber has been around the block many times &
should be given the benefit of the doubt of not being hurt. Those
shots that Berao were landing at the end were pitter patter shots.
Dana & Faber will probably use the only 3 weeks to train excuse.
Tonight Faber has become a very well liked & talented gatekeeper.

And that undercard was painful. I can't remember one fight.

The opening fight with Varner and Trujillo was the best fight of the night. I had a feeling the Overeem Mir fight would be very cautious. Both fighters were on losing streaks and needed the win. Neither one of them has the greatest chin anymore. I actually thought Overeem looked better overall....cardio, gameplanning, patience. He dialed back the killer instinct so that he wouldn't get caught and just get the W. Understandable.

Faber...has he ever been hurt in a fight? I never saw him get caught like that where he was dropped. That stoppage was horrible. For comparisons sake, Going by who was in worse shape in the Browne/ Overeem fight vs the Faber Barao fight...Browne was getting slaughtered against the cage and they still didn't stop it. Faber was defending against soft shots and deserved the benefit of the doubt IMO.

I hope that Aldo does fight Pettis. I don't see anybody else challenging him at 145.

As big of a fan as I used to be of Overeem's I think it's pretty clear that he can't fight clean as a roided up Reem finishes Mir and Browne in the positions he had them in. Scary to think how Velasquez would make short work of him as Reem's got the gas tank of a used Miata. JDS/Reem would be a great fight as they don't like each other for real but Reem has a weak chin and JDS's is actually pretty good so I think JDS KO's him in the 2nd.

That's why I'm saying Dana should throw him to Velasquez.
Overeem's performance- nobody wants to see heavyweights fight
the way he fought last night. The fans want to see heavyweights
finish each other or die trying (see Hunt vs Silva).
Wow! What tough guy! Calling out Lesnar like that. Ha!!

Was a pretty great fight too. I was happy with the outcome.
Funny as shit when they were showing them both in the hospital, shooting the shit with each other, while awaiting treatment for their post-fight injuries. Good stuff.

True, but he's been on a tear against mostly scrubs. I see a sub finish from Davis in this one.

On the news last night...

UFC light heavyweight Thiago Silva is in police custody in Broward County, Fla., after an incident at his home, according to multiple media reports.

However, no trace of Silva's arrest could be discovered independently. His name did not turn up in an arrest records search on the Broward County Sheriff's website and a dispatcher told Yahoo Sports, "We don't have that person in our system. Sorry."

That, however, does not mean Silva has not been arrested and may simply indicate that he has not been processed yet. A source told Yahoo Sports that Silva had been taken for a psychiatric evaluation, though that was unable to be confirmed.

The UFC released a statement acknowledging it was aware of an incident involving Silva in Florida, though the statement did not say whether Silva had been arrested.

NBC News 6 in Miami reported that an armed man had barricaded himself into a home at 2041 Coral Heights Blvd., in Oakland Park, Fla. The Broward Sheriff's office told NBC News 6 that the man inside had later been taken into custody.

Glenn Robinson, Silva's manager, did not return messages to Yahoo Sports.

The UFC's unattributed statement read, "This evening, we were made aware of a situation involving Thiago Silva. We are in the process of gathering the facts and have no further comment at this time."

According to NBC News 6, the suspect went to a jiu-jitsu school at 777 E. Oakland Park Blvd. and threatened people. No one was harmed and the suspect left, police told NBC News 6. According to the television station's report, authorities then set up a perimeter around the suspect's home.

The NBC News 6 story reported that Broward Sheriff's officials told it at 11:15 p.m. ET that a suspect had been taken into custody.

The Sun-Sentinel newspaper quoted a witness, 22-year-old Suzi Forum, who said the incident began at about 8 p.m. ET.
