Woodley is going to use wrestling cuz he isn going to want to stand in the condit striking range... He'll get torn up. I'm torn on the shields Lombard fight. Shields is boring but seems like a good dude. Lombard has a rep as being a dick to people he trains with. Should be fun night
Great card will be watching.
Hendriks looked nervous during weigh in.
My hunch is he will catch Lawler coming in & it will be lights out.
Not a fan of Condit.
You know Sanchez will bring it.
And I hope Shields gets knocked out. I agree what a boring fighter.
The prelims were good.

I like Condit...he comes and fights. Wish it would have ended on a better note one way or the other.

Going by Hendricks and many of his fans own logic, he lost the fight based on damage. He looks like GSP after their fight and all Robbie has is a knot on his leg.

Somewhat expected, the Lombard shields fight sucked. Next PPV is bones vs teixiera....expect that one to last a round or two...

Condit is the Buffalo Bills of UFC, close but no cigar. To me he is Jake Shields with a little bit more flash.

All Robbie had going for him was his boxing. And Hedricks beat GSP & he won tonight. This fight was one of the clearest fights that whoever won the 5th rd wins the fight.
What about that 3rd rd when Hendricks was out on his feet? I was surprised he survived that.
Overall a good night of fights.

Condit always fights the best fighters and I was hoping he'd win this time. Sucks for anybody to go out that way. And yeah, Hendricks won. The rounds were obviously split going into the fifth round and Hendricks took that one. Good fight.

What about the look on Lawler's face at the 40 second mark when Hendriks had him down. He looked up at the clock saw the time, knew he couldn't get up & realized he probably lost the fight.
Lawler is a classy guy, very gracious in defeat.
Its good to see a guy go through what he has, and do what he did.
And good to see a guy like Hendriks working his way up the ladder & finally reaching that pot of gold.

That's like saying Vitor Belfort is John Fitch with a bit more blitz. There really is no comparison between those two.

hahaha Rogan: "HE'S OUT ON HIS FEET!!!!" when Hendricks was stunned.

Exciting first title defense for him though. I would have liked to see him fight Condit for five rounds next defense but hey shit happens.

Yeah there is,
the comparison is neither fighter (Condit or Shields) will ever win a title.
Condit will always be known as close but no cigar fighter.
And that interim title he won was bullshit & doesn't count.

Was it the Lombard/Shields fight that was so uninteresting that Rogan didn't do a post-fight interview?

I believe so.
And by his commentary throughout the fight, you can tell Rogan wasn't that impressed with Lombard.
He sure ragdoll'd Shields didn't he.

it's probably the corporate company line to diminish Lombard. Back when he was signed from Bellator I read that he got a huge contract, worth more money than some of the champions in UFC

I remember now how much you guys hated Condit because he fought a very smart fight against Diaz...I always praised him. He rocked GSP in a way that Hendrick couldn't

What happened to him on saturday was just bad luck. How could you say anything else?

Wow...what a great finish to the fight on TUF tonight, but damn what a fucking bummer as far as the aftermath.

Just watched it last night. Damn. His post-fight comments were funny though. "I didn't want to break my face again!" I felt bad for him but had to laugh at that.

No shit. In the preview for next week he says it's broken in two places. That's brutal.

Damn, Hendo hit him so hard that Shogun rolled backwards once he hit the ground.

Did you see when Herb Dean almost stepped in when Hendo ran into problems?

Overall, a great night of fights, and that crowd is something else.

Announcers- Brian Stann excellent calling a fight. He doesn't get too excited (Rogan always & Florian sometimes) & knows his stuff.
On the flipside- Florian was great in the studio with Sonnen. They should leave that way. My guess is they will switch off b/t Florian & Stann.

The winner of the Phil Davis vs Anthony Johnson would make a good next fight for Hendo.

So Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva is officially on for May 31. I know it's a bout between has-beens, but I'm still planning to watch. Is anyone watching TUF: Brazil 3? Apparently they're not getting along so well.

I tried watching the first episode but with the subtitles & crap I
turned it off.
I've never been a big fan of that show. The fights at the end I always
watch, but all the in house stuff gets on my nerves.

Last night's fight-
how about at the end of the 1st rd? They go to a commercial & we have no
idea if Herb Dean stopped the fight or what. All we see is him waving & it immediately cuts to commercials. Come on man!!!

On one of the mma sites they post the twitter reactions & when that
happened everybody & I mean EVERYBODY was wanting to know what
the hell happened as well.
The knockout was something out of a video game.

So,
who do you think is going to headline 173?
Gotta be somebody that can sell tickets.
All the champs are scheduled or on the mend.
Nick Diaz anyone?
Or the swede vs Cormier.
Was thinking about going to the 175/TUF finals weekend
in Vegas. At least now know its Weidman vs Machida for
175.

You could barely hear the horn sound right before they cut to commercial.

And yes, that knockout was brutal, but before that, I thought Rua had it in the bag.

the Winner of the first TUF Brazil was knocked out in 30 seconds...

You know the Ultimate fighter has become a joke. Nobody there is competitive in the UFC these Days...Ferguson who won TUF a couple of years ago looked wonderfully well-rounded and talented, then he comes to UFC and he looks like shit.

Bellator is like the real farm system for UFC while TUF is just a joke

I agree with the TUF fighters.

I'm going out on a limb here & saying the 173 main event will be
Gustafsson vs Cormier. Both received little if any damage in their
last fights so that shouldn't be a problem.
Gustafsson also threw out the other day he is willing to fight somebody
else if a Jones vs Texiera were to do a rematch.
& whoever wins their fight will be headlined for the end of year fight.

After last night's episode of TUF, I will reiterate...

Goddamn, I loathe wrestle-fuckers...no matter how "skilled" they are at it.
GSP = King Of The Wrestle Fuckers. But, looks like he's got an up and coming replacement.
