Rumor has it his replacement is Jim Rome.
I HATE Jim Rome, and what does he know about MMA?
Never knew the guy was a fan.
I don't see Rogan having a problem with putting Rome in his place, live on air. At the very least, goof on him when he's doing his Stand-Up' or Podcasts.

208 is shaping up to be a pretty good card. I wasn't going to buy it, but will now.

Have you guys noticed the latest trend is all the fighters wanting the "big money" fights?
Tyron Woodley is the biggest culprit of wanting the big money fight. The guy isn't a ppv draw.
And everybody (regardless of weight class) wants to fight McGregor.
BJ Penn had the greatest response to all these fighters wanting the big money fights. Go out there
fight anyone & everyone, knock them out, finish the fights, and those fights will happen.

Invicta fights are tonight.
Megan Anderson is fighting. The girl can fight. She fights at 145. My guess is if she wins tonight she will
get streamlined into the UFC 145 weight division.

Yep, and yep!

Hope Wonderboy wins the rematch! He can't be as tentative.

I watched the Wonderboy/Woodley fight again, and to me the only reason it was a draw or Woodley won was because of that 4th found.
Other than that, Woodley never pushed the pace of fight, and stood back looking to counter & land the big bomb the entire fight.
And you are right about Wonderboy. He was too careful & not wanting to get nailed by Woodley's bomb.
It really wasn't that great of a fight.

Before Tyron fought Robbie for the title, he was always talking about himself being number one contender and deserving the next shot. He sat out a long time too because he felt he was no.1 and he wouldn't fight unless it was for the belt. Since the day he won, he has done everything in his power to not fight the no.1 contender. He wanted to fight Diaz or GSP. Neither of them have fought in a long time. I can understand though why he is avoiding Wonderboy and Maia. In the first fight, Wonderboy was tentative. I tend to think he was impacted greatly by Weidman, who is his best friend and brother in law, getting KO'd horribly right before his fight. He talked about this on the MMA Hour. If he comes out loose in the next fight, I can see him KOing Woodley.

About Maia, he will toy with both Thompson and Woodley. I don't see either of these guys beating him. In Maia's past few fights, he hasn't even been hit! That is insane. His grappling is masterful and he is a huge welterweight. Woodley might be a good wrestler, but Maia will get his back and tap him easily. UFC will find a way IMO to not give Maia a title shot. His style isn't casual fan friendly. I enjoy watching him. It's just insane how good a grappler he is. He makes BJJ black belts look like amateurs. People thought Gunnar Nelson had a good shot to beat him. He was not even in the same league in that fight.

Good fights coming up. Khabib vs Ferguson. Hopefully no injuries to fuck this up.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Khabib & Ferguson stay healthy.

Funny you should mention Maia. The other night watched the Maia/Condit fight. What he did to Condit was incredible. Once Maia got Condit on the ground Brian Stann was telling
the audience what Condit's plan was if it were to go to the ground. The entire time he was talking Maia was doing what he does & 10 seconds later got the submission.
He does what a snake does to kill its prey before devouring it.

Ha ha.
I said all along that once Nunes nailed Rousey fight would be over. It happened much faster than I thought it would.
I was dead wrong about Garbrandt. He schooled Cruz, and made Cruz look old & out dated. I always called him a meat head, but
from what I saw & heard of him after the fight, the guy is a class act. And his call out of Dillashaw was a classic.
How's that?

I have a feeling that Cruz was injured, but doesn't want to put it out there. He really didn't look like himself at all in that fight, he showed, much like Connor, how to handle a loss. And again, Ronda shows exactly what not to do. I have a feeling she's going Britney Spears this year

Yeah, Cruz looked awful. Have to wait til his next fight and see if he just got old (at 31...Lol), he was injured, or if it was Cody was just on another level that night. Cruz is a very smart guy, very mature, I'd be surprised if Cody got in his head, but that's almost what it looked like.

Was very happy with the outcome of both those fights. And yeah, waiting for Rousey to go full on retard after this. She stands there with a look of complete confusion. Like she can't believe someone tuned her face up like that in 48 seconds. It's like she, Travis and Tarverdyan are the only ones that don't get she can't throw hands...Lol. The world keeps evolving, and she hasn't improved in a couple years.

If Cruz was injured, not a word has been said since the fight. Yeah, it looked like before fight Cruz was in Cody's head, but during fight it was the other way around.
At some point in Rousey's fighting career she convinced herself (with the help of the press) that she was a striker. It wasn't until she fought real strikers that it was obvious she wasn't.

Anybody watch the Invicta fights? Some really good fights. The craziest fight was the second fight. End of round 1 fighter taps after the bell so the fight continues. End of 3rd round the fighter
that tapped at end of 1st goes for a hail mary submission & chokes out her opponent, the girl goes out, bell rings & fight goes to the judges. Girl that got choked out wins decision. What's crazy
was after the bell she wakes up & asks "what happened"?.

Megan Anderson looked good. Loved her call out of whoever wins 208.

Have a couple friends that worked (Bounced) at a club called "The Bamboo Bar" in Seaside Heights, NJ. One night some asshole sucker punches another bouncer whose about to escort his friend from the bar. My friend Ken slaps a rear naked choke on the guy and drags him out to the curb. Guy wakes up, looks around at his friends standing over him and says..."what happened?"...Lol...Apparently getting put to sleep ain't no joke. Whenever I hear the phrase "what happened?", I always think of that story.

Looking forward to Nurmagomadev/Ferguson. Woodley/Thompson also.

It was sad watching BJ Penn last night. Got owned big time. Shouldn't have been in the same ring. Age catches up with all of us!

Don't know what the judges were thinking for the previous fight. Must have got confused.

He was initially supposed to come back against Dennis Siver, which made a hell of a lot more sense as he looked like shit in the Edgar fight. He was coming out of retirement. Then he was supposed to go against Ricardo Lamas. Then it was this guy Yiar. He should not have been in that cage at all last night. Had no business and the UFC and his people should have known better.

It's like that fight was a punishment or something as Penn looked like a porn star who couldn't get it up anymore. Almost as sad as when Big Foot Siva was on top of Fedor and I literally started to well up I got so bummed out. I mean was it Joe Silva's idea or Shelby's to put an aging and slow Penn against a 25 year old super freak?

Woodley & Wonderboy did an interview to promote their upcoming.
Jeez, Woodley complains all the time about how he is not getting the big fights & respect for being a champion.
He should watch himself in this interview & he will know why. And of course he has to play the race card as
a reason.

Same here.
What gets me is during interview Wonderboy said he thought he outpointed Woodley in 3 of the 5 rounds. Woodly shoots back
"oh you outpointed me, this is fight". Jeez, Woodley did nothing but lay back & try to counter with one of his bombs. He never
initiated any of the action whatsoever.

Chael with the press conference zinger about Ortiz ex porn star wife had me lol'ing. I loved this gem from back in the day...

“I was in Las Vegas when the Nogueira brothers first touched down in America. There was a bus, this is a true story. There was a bus that pulled up to a red light, and Little Nog tried to feed it a carrot, while Big Nog was petting it. He thought it was a horse. This really happened. He tried to feed a bus a carrot, and now you’re telling me this country has computers? I didn’t know that.”

There was a bus that pulled up to a red light, and Little Nog tried to feed it a carrot, while Big Nog was petting it. He thought it was a horse. This really happened. He tried to feed a bus a carrot, and now you’re telling me this country has computers? I didn’t know that.”
Chael Sonnen
I used to really like Chael but anymore he's just a loudmouth who sucks in the cage. Dude hasn't won in years. That loss to Tito was an embarrassment.
In his defense, he hasn't fought in 3 years. He didn't look good in his last few, Evans, jones, and silva2
Exactly. And honestly, that was the point I was trying to make. He was losing all of his last fights before the ban. He's good at promoting his fights but fails miserably at winning them.

I wasn't able to catch fights until I just got in before the Daley fight.
Damn!!!!
The Sonnen/Ortiz fight was silly. For all his talk, Sonnen comes in out of shape & didn't seem the bit focused.
He tries that weak ass submission & gives up.
I really hate Bellator. Whenever I have watched an entire card its like watching 3 hours of UFC Fight Pass level fighters.
And don't get me started on the Dave & Busters commercials etc etc.
And what makes zero sense is event takes place in Los Angeles, and they don't show it live.

Anybody listen to the Mike Goldberg interview today?
For all his on air goofiness he is a class act. Sounds dumb, but I will miss the guy on ppvs.
He said he wasn't even informed they were not renewing his contract. If not mistaken, he got
a letter stating the non renewal.

Looking forward to the Pena/Russian girl fight. Pena has crap striking, but when she gets another fighter on the ground, that
fighter is not getting up.
