You may be right about that. Whatever magic the Sharks had to get this far is gone...

I haven't been watching terribly closely, but it looks like they do a lot of the cycle cycle cycle then pass to the point and get a shot from afar, which don't always find their way to the net. I remember Deboer had the NJ Devils doing a lot of that but with even less success since they Devils weren't as talented in general ask the Sharks currently are.

Well the Canadian media wouldn't allow Phil Kessel to have it. The joke is on Toronto.

After watching the NHL awards I'm thinking this is the last year that Patrick Kane has hair. Receding thy name is Kaners hairline.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Oilers trade Taylor Hall to Devils for Adam Larsson. Chiarelli really hates the 2010 draft.
Bruins are supposedly going to offer a huge offer sheet to Jacob Truoba. This could result in the Bruins having to give up 4 1st round picks in the process.
They should only have to give up a 1,2,3 and maybe a 4 but since they traded all their 2nd and 3rd round picks for elite talent like Jimmy Hayes, Zac Rinaldo and others,
they have no more 2nd and 3rd round picks to give up so the picks default to firsts.
Brilliant.

Stamkos to return to the Lightning.
Canadiens trade P.K. Subban to the Predators for Shea Weber.

Garth Snow has failed Tavares yet again. He couldn't come up with a better offer than the Devil's for Hall?

Nah, I'm good.

It's a bad PR move, and I feel bad for the young kids that love him, but this is hockey.

Shea Weber is not exactly a nobody. Top 5-6 D-man on planet, huge shot, puts up points, solid in his end, and a proven leader of men.

Yeah, he's 4 years older than Subban, but he has 5-7 good years left and his contract was front loaded. Habs can deal his contract late in the game, to a budget team who wants to spend cap $, but not real $.

Habs got way tougher this week with Weber and Andrew Shaw; plus Bergevin now has 10 million in cap space available and a team that features Price, Weber, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, and Gallagher.

I'll live.

Now, if I was an Oilers fan I'd be out for blood. You trade Nugent-Hopkins or Eberle for Larsson, not Taylor Hall. I get the whole world knows you need a D-man, but that's BAD asset management.

I know nothing of Larsson, except he's exactly what the Oilers need a RHD..he's young on a good contract..I'll miss Hall but this isn't his team anymore, McDavid will be named C within a week...almost a guarantee that the Oil sign Lucic now, possibly Demers, I'm ok with the trade, not so much with the return..

there have been rumblings of "inner issues" with Hall, I never believed them but who knows..6 straight years of shit hockey as a team has to do something to your confidence, I think Eberle or Nuge are gone by tomorrow as well. This core isn't working, Oilers lost this trade though ..again, I don't know anything about Larsson..if he ever becomes a top pairing RHD like they say he can, I'll be quite happy with it.

Bruins extend Krug 4yrs/21mil. A little overpaid but not too bad.
They also bought out Seidenberg. He was one of the few good Chiarelli trades and was a solid Bruin for years but he never seemed to fully recover from the knee injury.

So much for hamhuis staying in Vancouver!

Ekblad extended but overpaid IMO.

Hedman also extended on a very good deal.

Islanders overpaid for Ladd. Edmonton with lucic as well. But that team is starting to come together. Finally!

Florida signed Yandle the top UFA defenseman. Demers who was one of the better UFA defensemen. Signed Reimer to a solid deal, and will split time with Luongo. Also signed depth players Jonathan Marchessault and Colton Sceviour, who are low risk, high reward players. Oh and extended Ekblad and Trocheck, and rumours that they are also about to extend Smith and MacKenzie. Overall, this has been a very good offseason for the Panthers. And that doesn't even include the trades they made!

Tampa vs Florida for the division this year imo!

Price being healthy should mean 3rd place for the Habs.
