Maybe Torts isn't as bad as everyone thought! You have some good young players.

Torts gets #500 today. Nine in a row, one point out of first, and three or four games in hand.

I'll take it.

Breaking news from Boston:

Jimmy Hayes, who went the equivalent of a half a season (41 games) with just one point and still got consistent power play time,
got his second point of the season yesterday on a tip.
I take back what I've said about Claude. Putting that 0.02 point per game guy out there every day has really paid dividends.
Plus, all the bitching Hayes did last year about the way he was being treated because of his performance, or lack thereof, was clearly unwarranted.

Just found a picture of me, Probert and Dennis McKinnon. Right after Proberts latest rehab. I need to figure out how to scan it.

Jackets won 10-0 earlier this year, now they are 10-0 in their last 10 games. I'm really enjoying watching this team play.

They play their last 50 games in 100 days, however. That is going to be a grind and a half.

13 in a row. Bob finally beats the Bruins. One point clear of the Pens with 3 games in hand.

Jackets play the Wild on December 31st. If both teams keep winning, it will be a 14 game streak versus a 13 game streak, which would be cool. Both clubs were the expansion teams in 2000.

So overrated by the Canadian media.

Keith and Kane > Toews.

Hell, he's been about the 6th best player on his time this year. One of the best players in the world my arse.

Henrik Sedin got his 1000th point.

Great achievement and with the same team as well!

Was scored against Luongo as well!

I was there, and the building was electric.

Who was the captain of last couple of the Canadian gold medal winners?
Who had a big C on his sweater when the Blackhawks had their last 3 parades?

Are you sure maybe you just don't like him for no reason?

Mike Smith should win a steak for that shot last night. Like basketball I'd much prefer to watch the skills competions than all-star games that follow.

Crosby was captain of the last Canadian Olympic Gold medal. And Toews sure wasn't captain in 2010, although he did have a very good tournament.

And 'leadership and intangibles' is incredibly overrated anyways.

He's a great player. Just incredibly overrated. Should be nowhere near the top 100 NHL players of all time. How Toews got included, but not Malkin is ridiculous and a sham.

Indeed... and shocking....

Has a guy ever gone from one hated rival to the other in the space of a week?

If I'm Jeremy Jacobs I don't let my coach, who likely knows every last piece of information on organizational strategy - prospects, trade targets, etc. - and let him go to my main rival.

You're a billionaire. Is saving 3 million really that important?

I would have played keep away. You can talk to Vegas, you can talk to Dallas, not Montreal.

I agree the message had worn off in Boston, but the guy can coach. His system is the biggest reason the Bruins overachieved for most of his tenure.

it's going to take more than Claude Julien to stop Butch Cassidy and the run and gun B's. The Habs had fear in their eyes on Sunday night.

It will be interesting to see if Claude changes his style at all.
If not, expect Shea and any other D to "Stay Back", any rookie mistakes to result in downgraded ice time, the offense to struggle to score....even more and those 4th liners to get
inexplicable PP time...even if they suck.
Keep those lines rollin' rollin' rollin'.
