Anybody else see this series on Showtime? It's absolutely phenomenal. I've always been a big AFL history nut and this was like five hours of heaven.
Any thoughts?

I saw the last few episodes when I stayed at my parents' this weekend. It is a good documentary, but it's kind of all over the place, and the "stock footage abuse" is simply atrocious.Sixdgritt wrote:Anybody else see this series on Showtime? It's absolutely phenomenal. At least 5 minutes of every 50 minute episode is the same cheesy stock footage of vietnam, Ali, Malcom X etc. that you see in every 1960s documentary...and they show the same shit over and over again.
I did learn a lot about the subject (AFL)that I don't know before seeing it, which I can't say about every doc I see, so in that respect it was pretty good.
