Super Bowl
taking New Orleans today straight up +170..no spread needed
Re: Super Bowl
While I expect the Colts to win, that seems pretty high, especially with Freeney hurting. Good bet.

The over under seems a little high to me. I guess Vegas expects a shoot out.

Re: Super Bowl
this fuckers honestly too close to call IMO, If the saints that played the cards showed up Indy will be in serious shit, but if the saints that played minn show up, Indy will win a close one. I think if its a blowout its gonna be the saints, This year Indy really isn't the blow out kind of team, but they h've had some great combebacks. The saints D Have to rough manning up and that's gonna be a tall task as he's been sacked what 10 times all year?
Fuck it I'll take the saints by 10 i just got a feeling.

Re: Super Bowl
I don't have much of a rooting interest other than wanting the regional team that's never been there to get one and for P13 to shut his piehole, but I think Indy will take it. I think it'll be close though, something like 28-24. Either way, the beer is on ice and the brisket has been in the smoker since 3 AM. Gonna be a good time no matter who wins. I did get a comment on my facebook from a friend that lives in New Orleans that cracked me the fuck up. He said, "We win no matter what. At the end of the day we're in New Orleans and they have to go back to Indiana."

Re: Super Bowl
I'm teasing the Colts down to getting half a point at the under to 61 1/2. I just feel both teams will try to run the ball at first. If I lose and under that high i should have my online account closed anyway.Tymaster wrote:The over under seems a little high to me. I guess Vegas expects a shoot out.

I'm taking Indy, by 13+.
This shouldn't even be a close game (whatsoever) unless Indy turns it over, repeatedly.

Re: Super Bowl
I'm pumped. Not for The Who (as big a fan of them as I am), who will surely embarass themselves. But for the game.
It has all of the making of a classic. I've agonized about this all week. And though I am rooting for the Colts, my gut
tells me:
New Orleans, 31
Indianapolis, 27

Re: Super Bowl
Got no "gut" feeling on it. And I'm typically a sports mush so I'm making no predictions.
I'm just hoping for a good game. Going to the old lady's parents to watch the game. Her family is cool to drink and watch football with so it's gonna be a good time...

Re: Super Bowl
this shit is a hard game to call, but I'll go with the heart and say the Saints.
I'm sick of hearing all this "peyton this, peyton that" bullshit.
THE SAINTS SCORED MORE POINTS THAN THE COLTS.
THe Saints had the best offense this season, not the Colts, so what the fuck?
And the Saints may not have the best defense in the league, but neither do the Colts.
It's a pick em game...and I see no reason why the Saints aren't gonna be the ones to win it.

Re: Super Bowl
Two high-powered offenses with lackluster defenses (especially with Freeney hurting). Really could go either way.
I'll still go Colts because of their experience.
The party? Catfish and snow crab at my house. No guests. LOL

Re: Super Bowl
Did anyone else see Peyton as he was walking into the stadium?? He had a look on his face that was ALL BUSINESS. That was the most LOCKED IN that I've ever seen Peyton or pretty much anyone else for that matter. Look out, Saints!

Re: Super Bowl
I'm pulling for the Saint's but don't see it happening. Colts should win, Peyton's been there before and I get the feeling Drew will make a few mistakes, if the Colts don't capitalize on them it will be a closer game.
Colts 28 Saints 17 F
If the Saints avoid mistakes and hit Peyton hard.
Saints 28 Colts 24 F

Wow...so that's the most "locked in" you've seen Peyton in your entire 5 game "Colts megafan" career!poizond13 wrote:Did anyone else see Peyton as he was walking into the stadium?? Sounds like the game is a mortal lock for the Colts, based on your extensive knowledge.
In an unrelated matter, I now have $30 I'd contribute to banning P13 if anyone gets such an effort off the ground.

Re: Super Bowl
saw freeney entering the stadium, and I must say that was the most locked in I've ever seen freeney or anyone, or even animal for that matter. He looked as intense as mike tyson before he fought lennox lewis, even more so. look out saints, Colts 117- saints 3. behind freeney's 17 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 2 int's. They don't have a chance against a guy that locked in.

Re: Super Bowl
Poizond is rubbing one out now to the thought of Freeney blasting some "Look But You Can't Touch" on those headphones.

Good start by the Colts.
Re: Super Bowl
This game is already over.
JETS VS. COLTS was the Superbowl.
As a Jets fan this makes me happy. Jets would have beaten the Saints. We lost to the champion.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COLTS!! Well deserved championship.
Manning is an amazing player.
