Never trust a school that cranked out Akilli Smith and Joey Harrington as QB's.

Re: The NFL Thread
I thought Bellichek's press conference on Saturday was absolutely hilarious.
"You wanna talk about footballs? Ok...here you go I'll talk about fuckin' footballs."
He went on for an eternity. It was almost like he was fillibustering. By the time he was halfway through a dissertation on the makeup and history of the American football, you'd have to be a monster to not have cracked a smile.
Plus, he added some awesome ammo for the "endless 2015 ball pun sweepstakes." His talk of "vigorous rubbing," "handling balls for hours," and "stimulation of balls" should help create New York Post headlines for the whole week.
I think it did exactly what he needed. By the end of his presser I certainly didn't give a fuck about the issue anymore. It's pretty awesome seeing uptight hacks like Fat Truther get so fired up about this - it's obviously a non-issue and it's clear to me nobody will get in any trouble over this. Deflate gate is a fart in the wind just waiting for a slight breeze to make it a distant memory.

Now, supposedly, all but one of the footballs tested were actually 1lb under while the one was 2lbs under.
If that's true, that might fuck some haters up.
Still doesn't explain the COLTS!!! balls.....or lack thereof.

When Goodell has his usual press conference the week of the SB, I hope the national media drills him with relentless questions about this scandal and the Ray Rice situation.Facedown wrote:Now, supposedly, all but one of the footballs tested were actually 1lb under while the one was 2lbs under.

here's a newsflash for you and your Jewish sportswriters. Goodell didn't punch rice's girlfriend, he didn't go down to the field and fiddle with balls during colts vs pats.Machado wrote:When Goodell has his usual press conference the week of the SB, I hope the national media drills him with relentless questions about this scandal and the Ray Rice situation.Facedown wrote:Now, supposedly, all but one of the footballs tested were actually 1lb under while the one was 2lbs under.

Re: The NFL Thread
From Fox Sports:
PHOENIX -- Deflategate has taken another twist.
FOX Sports has learned that the NFL has zeroed in on a New England Patriots locker-room attendant in connection with the scandal of improperly inflated footballs used in the AFC championship game against Indianapolis.
The person of interest was already interviewed by the league. The NFL is trying to determine whether any wrongdoing by this individual occurred, sources tell FOX Sports.
There is surveillance video showing the attendant taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field, sources tell FOX Sports.

But I am surprised that he took it head on and didn't just mumble "the NFL is investigating ... talk to them." Obviously, Kraft is very upset about the effect on his brand and it wasn't going away in any event.
I happened to find Belichick convincing as well.
Re: The NFL Thread
This story has a lot of legs. If I am the Seahawks this is great news.
The NFL probably will not have any ruling for weeks. Roger Goodell is taking orders
from owners and good friends like Kraft on the situation.
Even thought Goodell charged the Pats 750K and a 1st round pick for SPYGATE, Kraft is still calling the shots based on their very close friendship.
This is a classic power struggle. Goodell has been made fully aware who he works for.
The owners. Damn Goodell is having a bad year and it will only get worse when he conducts
his SB press conference.

Re: The NFL Thread
Marshawn Lynch violated another rule yesterday during media day.
Is the guy just dumb or defiant? Is he getting poor advice from his agent?
He wore a BEAST MODE hate which is against the rules. The rules are in place
because the NFL has contracts. Contracts that pay for he $8M salary Lynch earns this year.
Several years ago Urlacher was fined 100K for wearing a hat that violated the rules.
I really hope Lynch is fined 100K for his idiotic move yesterday during media day.

At some point in time after his NFL days are over he's gonna look back at all that money he gave up in fines and realize he acted like a fool.

He is on a path to destruction. His post NFL career will expose the weaknesses in his life.
