Mort has been slipping the last few years. That is why they brought over Shefter from NFL Network. Mort will be stepping down at the end of 2014.

He looks like he smells like coffee and cigarettes.

Mort looks like Mike Wallace compared to Chris Berman.

Once respected the guy. I lost that respect when he was proven wrong in his reporting on deflategate and never issued a retraction even though what he reported was completely wrong.

Yup. I think God gave him cancer because of that.

I stopped watching ESPN almost 15 years ago. I like watching sports, not guys sitting around a desk talking about sports. Over hype everything with bells and whistles and practiced, fake arguments.

Didn't say that. Lost respect for him. You're reaching.

Bingo

And honestly that goes for all of ESPN now, I used to tune in every Sunday at 11 to watch their pre-game, but they lost me during the Deflategate coverage, and then to basically lick Peyton's taint clean the day after it was reported he might have done HGH, that was the proverbial last straw. It doesn’t get much more hypercritical and/or transparent that that.

That said, I didn't wish stage four cancer on the guy.

Neither did I but somehow veritas made that leap.

I didn't say you said it -- I said it.
Well, really, God said it -- I'm just stating the obvious.

I thought he was the IT guy for insider info and all of a sudden he wasn't. I watch very little ESPN..almost none compared to a decade ago but when I do it's always Schefter I see.

Always liked him. Can't say that about many at ESPN.

Shefter is a little fucking troll from Denver. espn outbid NFL Network for his services (why?) and he has been groomed to take over for Mort. Both are hogshit, as is espn, so who gives a fuck?

That being said, certainly feel for Mort as a human being. Tough one.
