The fight broke out at 1 a.m. at the Swamp near the University of Florida campus, where both Tebow and Hernandez played football for the Gators. Hernandez tried to leave without paying a bill for two alcoholic drinks, according to the report, telling the server that he didn't order them.

That prompted a manager to confront Hernandez, according to the report, and the exchange became heated, prompting Tebow to try to step in.
Even a bigger story than Hernandez is that Tim Tebow was at a bar at 1am

As if Hernandez wasn't a major numbskull already:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/arrest-her ... --nfl.html

WRENTHAM, Mass. (AP) -- A police search of a secret ''flop house'' rented by former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez turned up boxes of ammunition and clothing police believe could be evidence in the murder case against him, according to court documents.
Police say they learned about the apartment from Carlos Ortiz, a friend of Hernandez's whom prosecutors say was with the ex-player the night he allegedly arranged the shooting of Odin Lloyd.
They then searched the $1,200-a-month apartment in Franklin on June 26, according to search warrant records at Wrentham District Court. Among the findings were a white hooded sweatshirt and a cranberry-colored cap in a bedroom, the documents said.
Surveillance video showed Hernandez wearing a similar sweatshirt the night Lloyd was killed on June 17, the records say.
He was wearing the cap in a picture shown on a local news station taken outside a nightclub June 14, the Friday before the killing, the documents said. Prosecutors say Hernandez was upset at Lloyd for talking to certain people at the nightclub.
''The white sweatshirt could be used ... to assist in linking Hernandez to the scene of the crime,'' wrote Trooper Michael Bates, in an affidavit in support of one of the search warrants.
''The baseball hat could help provide the whereabouts of Hernandez on the Friday night before the homicide,'' Bates wrote.
Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez's North Attleborough home. Prosecutors say Hernandez, Ortiz and another man drove there with Lloyd that night, though they haven't said who shot Lloyd.
Hernandez's attorneys say the evidence against him is circumstantial and that he's eager to clear his name.
The search also turned up several boxes of ammunition, including .22-, .45- and 7.62-caliber ammunition.

Aaron Hernandez Patriots jersey exchange underway

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000 ... e-underway

New England Patriots fans looking to dump their Aaron Hernandez garb have a reason to get out of bed today.

The team on Saturday is allowing fans to freely swap any "#81 Hernandez" jerseys purchased from the Patriots ProShop or online store for a different player's jersey of comparative value. The deal runs through Sunday at Gillette Stadium and through PatriotsProShop.com.

"We know that children love wearing their Patriots jerseys, but may not understand why parents don't want them wearing their Hernandez jerseys anymore," team spokesperson Stacey James said in a statement on Wednesday. "We hope this opportunity to exchange those jerseys at the Patriots ProShop for another player's jersey will be well received by parents."

The exchange runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Chalk it up as a savvy move by the Pats, who are going out of their way to cleanse the market of reminders of Hernandez, the former tight end now accused of first-degree murder.

Strangely (or not so strangely, considering society), a secondary market has bubbled up for Hernandez garb. His jerseys have recently surfaced on eBay and commanded as much as $1,200.

UPDATE: The selection is limited; for the high-end "authentic" jerseys, the options only are Vince Wilfork, Tom Brady, and Rob Gronkowski.

Are these fucking people for real:

ACLU is concerned about how Aaron Hernandez is being treated in prison
By Frank Schwab | Shutdown Corner – 15 hours ago

The American Civil Liberties Union is concerned about Aaron Hernandez's accommodations in prison as the former New England Patriots tight end waits for his murder trial to start.

In a blog post on ACLU.org, the group expresses concern about the damage being done to Hernandez as he is placed in protective custody, also known as solitary confinement – which the ACLU argues can do more damage than good. It cites international communities "that recognize solitary confinement as a form of torture."

"Regardless of what you think of Aaron Hernandez, it's important to take a minute and remember he has not yet been convicted — in the eyes of the law, he is still innocent until proven guilty," ACLU.org wrote. "But, while awaiting trial, he has been locked alone in a small room with little or no human interaction for over 20 hours a day."

Hernandez could be waiting many months for his trial to begin. Some believe it could take a year. He was denied bail, and then denied again on appeal with the judge citing the strength of the prosecution's evidence and the risk of Hernandez fleeing. He was reportedly being kept away from the general prison population for his safety. The ACLU worries about him being kept in a cell the "size of a parking spot."

The ACLU discusses the "debilitating psychological effects" when a prisoner is extremely isolated. The group uses Hernandez's case to bring attention to the 80,000 cases of solitary confinement of prisoners, saying that it drastically diminishes the chances of rehabilitation. It says that some studies show prisoners released from extreme isolation have higher rates of repeating criminal behavior.

Hernandez hasn't had a ton of public support since he was arrested in connection with the killing of Odin Lloyd. Former teammate Deion Branch, rapper Snoop Lion and the ACLU pretty much comprise the list now. While his former teammates with the Patriots go through the 2013 season, Hernandez will have plenty of time to think about his circumstances in less-than-ideal conditions. The ACLU is concerned about what long-term effect all that time by himself might have on Hernandez.

There's a compelling debate to be had here. See the link below:

Right, but he's only being confined until they see how he responds to increased contact with the rest of the population. It's not like the guy is being put into isolation for a 20 year term.

Well, certainly Mass ain't as fucked as California (where 30,000 prisoners have started hunger striking) or w/e. Regardless of his specific situation, they see it as an opportunity to draw attention to the issue of solitary confinement. Doesn't offend me.

Rae Carruth is the leader in the clubhouse.

If O.J. was actually convicted of murdering his ex and the BF, then he
may have vaulted to the top spot.

HBO Real Sports produced a very good segment regarding
the Carruth situation. Watch it if you can. You won't regret it.

Yea I forgot all about that low-life and I did see that program matter of fact I always try and catch Real Sports that's a damn good show.

I'm gonna wait and see how things play out but if what's going around in the news I.E. the spit out bubblegum at the crime scene, the clothes found at the secret apt. the home surveillance footage that he didn't destroy but is still incriminating, etc. than I'm gonna place him above Rae Carruth cause at least Rae tried to make a run for it, wasn't very good at it but he tried.

I cut him. Do you know how long they had to think about what they're wearing before that picture was taken? It's not like someone just walked up to them, asked them to wear them and snapped the photo.

O.J. got away with murdering his ex and the BF by good luck and lawyers, rather than anything smart on his part...
And THEN got 25 years for armed robbery trying to steal back his own memorabilia or some shit. That puts him way, way up the dumbass tree IMO.

And a privileged one at that. If the normal everyday person pulled the same crap he's pulled, they would have been behind bars long ago.
