They had 5 fans before Steph, with a team and city most casual fans didn't know existed or cared
Yea I agree NBA wanted next "it" team to be from LA, Boston, Chicago, NYC or that powerhouse media forgotten team from Oakland

Are you high? The We Believe team shattered attendance records and reached 121 decibels after Baron Davis destroyed Andrei Kirilenko. And they only won 42 games.
The Run TMC era also whipped the bay area into a frenzy.

Remember when GSW had to decide b/t Curry or Monte Ellis?
It looks like they made the right choice. Although Curry had to figure out how to avoid ankle injuries that kept hitting him early in his career.
GSW are a great example of a team that drafted smart (or got lucky).
There's an article online on how the Hawks could be a great team, but they've never drafted wisely so they are what they are.
GSW will only go as far as Curry will take them. If he were to miss an extended period of time they would be toast. And don't give me that Livingston would pick up the slack. No he wouldn't. At this point in his career he is a very good back up. Asking him to play extended minutes is not going to happen.
