1. The end of that race was crazy good.
2. Very cool that we got to witness Johnson and Knaus make history.
3. Knaus does not get enough credit. He is the Smokey Yunick, Dale Inman of his time.
4. Hope they win their 8th championship next year so people stop talking about ol weak neck Earnhardt.

It's cool he won as the team seemingly struggled quite a bit this year. Being said, Jimmie is so beyond boring.

Stopped paying attention after they instituted The Chase. What an idiotic way to decide a champion.

Agreed. That's when I stopped watching, as well. Fuck it!

not impressed in the least, the chase before this new even dumber system was put in for jimmie, he'd be lucky to have 2 or any if they used the old system, Stewart pre injury and pothead frogger incident was the best driver of his era.

You love a good parade, huh?

F1 is worse than NASCAR, and that's hard to do.

A). That's not very nice.
Secondly - Johnson seems like a gracious, nice winner.

", and this compliment was brought to you by Bounty The Quicker Picker Upper. The Quicker Picker Upper now available in Select-A-Size".

I great up huge NASCAR Fan, but lost interest when it turned towards TV rating and one big marketing gimmick.

One of them is racing, and the other one is entertainment.

Better that Johnson won the championship than that punk KY Busch. (That's how his name is abbreviated in races.)

Stewart never regained momentum after the sprint car race tragedy, understandably. And I like him. He's like an old-school NASCAR driver and not some bland, sponsor-friendly pretty guy.

And Primal Fear has a song about Formula One, titled "Formula One," but they're in Germany, where people care about that.

I'm talking about the sanctioning bodies, not the drivers.

NASCAR is manipulated competition, F1 isn't. That's why F1 races are parades - the cars aren't designed to all be the same speed, and they don't throw phantom caution flags just to spice up the action.

But the car owners give orders as to which driver wins.

Sometimes. But you're kidding yourself if you think team orders don't happen in NASCAR. They're just not as blatant about it.

Let me know when someone as corrupt and dirty as Bernie is running NASCAR . . .

Okay.

For the record, I don't watch F1 racing. Because it is boring. But I give them credit for not doctoring the races to make them more interesting.
In April 2007, driver Tony Stewart said on his own radio show, "It's like playing God. They can almost dictate the race instead of the drivers doing it…I don't know that they've run a fair race all year." Stewart also made references to professional wrestling institutions such as WWE, which have long been known for scripting matches.

In an unrelated interview, driver Matt Kenseth said, "There's for sure entertainment cautions, there's no doubt about that, but we're in the entertainment business and you're going to get some of that and group the field every once in a while." Driver and commentator, Kyle Petty, said, "We're in the entertainment business, if they want to throw a caution every 40 laps to keep everybody bunched up, so the fans have a better experience, more cautions, the better."

I'm on you side. Nascar is the BS racing of all BS racing. With that being said I wish the F1-circus cared more for the tradition. They never should've tampered with the points system. They never should've regulated the look of the cars or the "sound levels". The F1 we have now is definitely the Disney-version of F1 and not the end all be all of racing that we had 10 years ago. :( :( :( :(

Funny out of all the morons Stewart would be the one saying it since he was the main attraction...NASCAR has turned into the Rednecks auto version of WWE. I haven't followed since Elliott won the Winston and gave up as money, drama and officials took over the sport. The Chase?...Dumbest FUBR system ever.
From the LUCKY DOG to Danica Patrick they've pushed some stupid shit over the years. Does NASCAR still have more officials in the pit's than crew members or do they have more CCTV's then in London now?

How about following angry drivers around like wrestlers into the locker room, drivers don't even use folding chairs they cat fight like the chicks on Rock Of Love.

I'll watch F1 in Monaco long before NASCAR but I prefer road courses. I'll catch The Glen but rather watch Indy at the Brickyard over NASCAR any day.

With it's effect on Baseball over the last few years Money has officially destroyed every sport worth giving a shit about.

Has money reached Women's curling or Ping Pong yet?
