Whether you went there or not. Who do you root for?

I went to S. Carolina. Huge fan. Donate money. Had season tickets for years (got rid of them because I couldn't make it to enough games).

So?

And side question. Do you root for a different school in basketball? If so, why?

I root for a few. In order:

1) Texas Longhorns are my end all be all in CFB
2) Texas A&M because they mean so much to my father and it's something we can bond over
3) Baylor - simply bc they're the hometown team

I loathe Alabama / Nick Satan. And Boise State is a guilty pleasure. Smurf turf!

My college didn't have a football program until 3 years ago, so I always sort of followed the Gamecocks (my sister is a SC grad). Not a huge college fan, though. I prefer Sunday football.

Always have and always will be a Crimson Tide fan. Been with em since the Bear was there, rooted when Stallings was leading em, stuck with em through Shula, Francione, Perkins and Price all the way to Lord Sabans dark rule now. I bleed Crimson, but I also know college football is cyclical and anytime the pinnacle they have reached in the last decade can slip away..but I will stay with em until my dying day...Roll Tide Roll....

I love football ... with a passion ... played running back and free safety thru high school ... however college football is a bit of a joke to me because once you lose a game your season is over .... unless you are an SEC fan not much to root for in college football ... yes I know Clemson won NCCAA championship last year ... i just have hard time trying to be a fan of college football ...... plus I am a Hoosier so I have nothing to root for !!!!

I am not a huge college fan, I can't stand the lack of defense played and the stopping the clock to reset the ball after every first down makes the game last forever, but if I had to pick one, it would be The University of Memphis. That was my alma mater.
