wow.. sounds awesome. i was looking at the Download website.. do you have to camp there for 3 days to attend? The hotel package looked expensive! And lets just say, camping ain't my thing! lol

You could get a weekend ticket and book hotel yourself separately... probably cheaper than the packages but I don't know how you'd get to/from the site easily. I know there are shuttles to the festival site from various points but I've never really looked into it as I always camp (it's half the fun for me, the atmosphere in the campsites is usually pretty awesome in general... I tend to drink until I pass out... so I'm out until around lunchtime then drag my arse up, have a baby wipe bath, wack on some makeup and go... they had a hair/beauty salon on site last year too so you could go and get your hair washed and styled and I don't think it was *that* expensive either)! You can also take campervans too (for £40 supplement) if that seems more acceptable than a tent... dunno how much it costs to hire one though. Also, remember those hotel packages usually include like two weekend festival tickets or more (however many the room sleeps) so you'd have to have someone to share with and then obviously you split the cost.

This was the state of me by the Saturday last year.
