he looks sloppy!

mariqueen should ask florence welch, behind her in that picture, to sing for HTDA since she can't!!!!!!!
That dress does nothing for her. It makes her look lumpy. He should have shaved and buttoned the last buttons.

I guess some dads are just too busy forgetting their child in an Oscar acceptance speech, how can we expect those dads to remember to shave after a night of pre-awards drinking binge hangover?

The piss/water ratio in your pool must be astoundingly unhealthy.

'Member, dah-link: He's the one that bought the Oscar, not you. That gold paint doesn't rub off, so...

Fuck off.

EDIT: Nymeses:

Their baby is just four/five months old, so thanking him for the award is a bit silly...or maybe not, I personally didn't find it offensive.

On the other hand, his thanking Mariqueen so profusely was a very clear-cut fuck you to all the naysayers and - dare I say - those who were wondering whether he'd take her. Meh, she just had his baby, so a thank you might've been in order.

It's a pity - I'm sure that heartfelt speech stung the women behind the scenes. It might've even stung enough to put those feelings in writing...

Wow, he looks genuinely happy in those pics. Not one severely constipated or "I Just Smelled A Fart" facial expression. Nice.

On another note, please tell me Christian Bale is not as short as TR?!?!!?!?! Please??

I've been on here a lot today...too many times.

lolo66: Christian's not that tall. He also seems affable, in a manic kinda way.

Frankly, I would've jizzed in my pants if I'd gotten an opportunity to speak to Nicole Kidman. What a gorgeous woman.

I am still wondering why he HUGGED his wife rather than kissed her. Also, she looks less than thrilled.

Let's hope his dialogue is more expressive than that wooden, affectless Oscar acceptance speech. The man lives a joyless life.

It's a trap, right? A hilarious joke to start the weekend off right...?

Why is it that so many Oscar winners pick the shittiest projects after they've won?!

Don't get me wrong -- he can suck my blood any time, but that movie idea puts a whole new layer of meaning to the word 'suck'. On the other hand, the influx of terrible vampire flicks lately might actually compel me to give the Twilight series another try.

Daybreakers sucked balls too...and not in a good way.

Oh please, oh please, oh please, oh please.

Abraham Lincoln was around 6' 6".

But his wife was short & fat. Perhaps that's the role Trent has been offered.

Trent Reznor as Mary Todd Lincoln.

I'm liking this. Because I think Reznoid could just really rock a hoop skirt.

HAHAHA! If only! I'd watch the movie just to see THAT!.

Is this really for real? Is there seriously a book by that name?

And I thought Twilight was bad.

It's the new trend in pop lit. There is Pride and Predjudice and Zombies, etc. Basically get a classic piece of literature and throw some monsters or ninjas or crap into it to juice it up. This link shows a whole list of this stuff hopefully. It's like you go to the fiction area now and there are tons of serial novels about vampires.

Actually I looked it up. He's being cast as the vampire that killed Lincoln's mom. *eye roll*

Ha ha, he's definitely feathering his nest...with benjamins.

I wasn't sold AT ALL on the silly film until he mentioned Night Watch. I loved that film - at least, the first one - and so I won't be able to help checking out this fim. That first scene with the witch and Anton alone is worth the price of admission.

The same director also directed Wanted- and used Everyday is exactly the same. TWICE.

I thought it really fit the movie.

I am just saying that Perez Hilton whores himself out to the likes of Glee and now he has a new target-Trent.

"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was actually a great idea, IMO, and I was really excited about reading it after reading the reviews, but Seth Graham-Smith fouled it up by making it completely over-the-top. If he'd taken a more realistic approach (well, as realistic as you can get with zombies), it would've been more enjoyable. It did make me more interested in reading the real "Pride and Prejudice," though.

I lost interest in vampires long ago because of the media overload. That's such a lame, clichéd sub-genre for Trent to get into, but what else is new?

What bothers me about "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is why not write something original, as opposed to interjecting a new story line into an old classic? If the author of that novel was talented enough to make you like that story, then that author must be talented enough to write something that could stand on it's own. I loved "The Vampire Tapestry" by Charnas because it wasn't like any of the vampire novels that came before or after it.

EDIT: I forgot this is a thread about Trent Reznor and what remains of his fanbase, so here:
http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?7,1226 ... sg-1226115
3/7/11
"What a surreal week, capping of an equally surreal few months! Thank you all for the support and kind words throughout. I need to once again point out the reason that score worked so well was David Fincher. We were simply executing his vision and it was an honor and an eduction working with him. Which brings me to:
The Girl WIth the Dragon Tattoo. Atticus and I are hard at work scoring David's next film, which will be opening this Christmas. We've been composing quite a bit of music for this and have just begun to see some of what's been shot. Trust me when I say this film (and of course the music!) will not disappoint.
Perhaps I misspoke on the red carpet or wherever it was I said the new How To Destroy Angels record is finished - it is not. We've been working since last summer on it and are due to mix it this summer for a fall release. We've spent a lot of time experimenting and finding our own sound and identity this time around and we're very happy with the results. The three columns of things I'm currently funneling music into - HTDA, NIN and film work - I believe will start to make more sense to you (and me) as everything unfolds. By having a few different outlets for my work I'm finding more inspiration within each one. No, Nine Inch Nails is not dead and I plan to focus on that next.
And finally, I am friends with Timur Bekmambetov. He's an interesting and very talented director that caught my attention with his film Night Watch (check it out if you haven't). He asked me if I was interested in scoring his new film he's doing with Tim Burton entitled "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". I was familiar with the book, read the script and it felt like an interesting challenge as a composer - very different from the Fincher films. While discussing the film with Timur he started gently pressing me to play a small role in the film. The idea was a cameo-esque role that would be kept under wraps and be a surprise around opening night. I was considering this when I awoke a few days ago to the news I am now STARRING in ALVH (which is obviously not true). Fuck. We both apparently forgot the internet existed AND THERE ARE NO SURPRISES anymore.
So... do me a favor and act surprised, OK?"

Do you think Trent ever really was supposed to score that movie or he hyped it up to the media before he got signed just to stay relevant?
