Rock stars are part of the elite crowd and have been for some time. It's the second had royals you slave for that have become null and void. I am not sure about these so called Park Ave. Princesses...do they still exist since Vanderbuilt died?

We don't really have that kind of a hierarchy here in the US. Nobody really cares about the social register these days but old people. I don't know anybody who gives a shit about who the "old" families are. We care about names like Gates, Buffett - oh, and Obama. People who are in power NOW are the only names who matter here.

New here and found this thread very entertaining!
Sorry if someone gets pissed off for me bumping it but since I am European I just had to say a few things.
Don`t understand why bashing a 38yo woman for being 38 and getting published (or not, w/e). At least she has lived a little and have something to write about. I'm sure the book will be better now then if she had written it at 20. I'm just impressed of ppl who can write books. It's not an easy task.
Emanuele Filiberto and his wife Clotilde are both gorgeus looking ppl. And I have never met anyone who has looked at him as trash, quite the opposite.

All over Europe there's tons of princes and princesses with a title and with any luck some money. But very rarely are they members of a active royal family. I've partied with the Swedish Prince Carl-Philip (really sweet and parties like a rockstar lol) and his friends and he is probably related to all of them but they are so far down on the scale that he can't possibly remember them all. Also in the south of Europe they have dances where high society is supposed to hook up. Those with a title but no money, tries to find someone with money and the other way around. In some families it's important to find someone from their own crowd. Not very dignified in my opinion. But luckily not all of them are like that. Thank God all the Swedish royal kids is marrying normal ppl. If you are not in a active royal family the mags wont bother with you. Just the mags old ladies read. And with old I'm talking 70!

Her website link was posted on page 1, but it doesn't work. I did see years ago a photo of her, her friend and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, but it was on the street, so she could have just accosted him.
