Queef has nothing else going for her except the kids and taking Trent's money. She was very smart to have his kids so now she has a guaranteed income for the next 18 years. She doesn't have a musical career- she can't sing, and she's not good looking, not even a thousand synthesizers or makeup artists can fix that. How to Destroy Eardrums music is a joke. I hope she can live with herself for ruining Trent's image and career. He might not have behaved like a crazy man on nin.com and twitter if it weren't for her. And the leech that she is, did nothing to stop him. It was be interesting in a few years when he tries to Reznorect Nine Inch Nails when he runs out of money from her spending it all. I predict 99% of the fans will be gone and have moved on. I ask the people at work who Nine Inch Nails is, and they have no idea.

Edit: I wanted to add that he looks really awful in that picture orionslavegirl posted on p.288. It looks like having to constantly keep a jealous eye on your wandering wife whore has really aged him.

OMG look at this....they got signed to a major record label!

Pitchfork‏@pitchforkmedia
.@trent_reznor’s @destroyangels announce new EP, sign to Columbia Records http://p4k.in/ONiqfh

WTF happened to "We are independent by choice-fuck record labels and the establishment!"
BTW...Sony owns Columbia. Didn't the Rez have an issue with Sony? Maybe my memory fails me.

Columbia Records‏@ColumbiaRecords
NEWS: @trent_reznor announces signing with @ColumbiaRecords for #HowToDestroyAngels @destroyangels project http://columbiarecordsnews.tumblr.com/p ... ia-records

"How To Destroy Angels is a collective from Los Angeles composed of Mariqueen Maandig, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Rob Sheridan. An Omen EP will be their debut release on Columbia Records, available November 13th digitally and on 12” vinyl. You’ll begin to hear it and see it in the coming weeks."

Yeah that 4th person is Rob.

Trent Reznor's How to Destroy Angels to Release 'An Omen' EP

September 21 2012, 4:46 PM ET
by Chris Martins

Reznor signs with Columbia: "Independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings."

Trent Reznor has announced that his How to Destroy Angels project will be dropping a second EP on November 13 dubbed An Omen. Despite the Nine Inch Nails singer's noted aversion to major labels, the release will come via Columbia Records in digital and vinyl formats. "Regarding our decision to sign with Columbia," Treznor noted in his Facebook announcement, "independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings." Well, well, well.

How to Destroy Angels is rounded out by Reznor's wife, singer Mariqueen Maandig, plus his frequent score collaborator Atticus Ross, and NIN's longtime graphic designer Rob Sheridan. They released a self-titled EP in 2010, and covered Bryan Ferry's "Is Your Love Strong Enough?" for the soundtrack of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (scored by Reznor and Ross), but have otherwise been quiet since, supposedly hunkered down working on a HTDA full-length.

Earlier this week, speculation abounded when Amazon made live a preorder page for a then-unannounced EP. It's possible that the apparent glitch wound up forcing Reznor's hand. While the cover art hailed from How to Destroy Angels and the release date was listed as November 6, the label and format were correct. So perhaps the tracklist is too? Check that out below, via Antiquiet, and Reznor's full Facebook post after that.

How to Destroy Angels' An Omen EP (potential) tracklisting:

1. Keep it together
2. Ice age
3. On the wing
4. The sleep of reason produces monsters
5. The loop closes
6. Speaking in tongues

More from Reznor:

Sorry for the radio silence lately... I've been busy! There's a number of things to be revealed over the coming months. Some you may expect, others you may not. Patience, my friends.

Today's news is about my band How To Destroy Angels. I'm happy to announce we've formally partnered with Columbia Records for our next series of releases. The first of these will be available in November and it's called An Omen EP. As you may have guessed, it's an EP. It contains six songs, some of which are from our full-length LP which is coming early next year.

We are making some videos, we are going to be performing live, and that's all the details I have for now on those matters.

Regarding our decision to sign with Columbia, we've really spent a long time thinking about things and it makes sense for a lot of reasons, including a chance to work with our old friend Mark Williams. There's a much more granular and rambling answer I could give (and likely will in an interview someplace) but it really comes down to us experimenting and trying new things to see what best serves our needs. Complete independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings.

We are all very excited about you checking out the new stuff. Wish I could tell you more, but you know how this works... it would take all the fun out of it!

"The sleep of reason produces monsters..." is that one aimed at us? I read somewhere else that if Amazon hadn't spilled the beans this project would still be under wraps. 2 years to make 6 songs? Didn't they have more on their 1st album? This article has an active and unposted in comments section.

Wait a minute.....

"As you may have guessed, it's an EP. It contains six songs, some of which are from our full-length LP which is coming early next year."---the Rez

Is this the same full length EP said to be released in early 2011, then late 2011, then early 2012, now early 2013? WTF? Better to release it and risk it getting some negative reviews than turn it into a "Chinese Democracy" type situation.

Why is Rob the "art director for NIN" included in this pic? What has he been doing since NIN was shelved? My understandingwas that all the HTDA art was done by Tamara Levine or some other artist. Who includes their art director in the band promotional media anyway? Maybe Rob blackmailed someone?

The Omen, huh? Are we sure he's not talking about one of his kids? Oh, wait, that would be Damien. Son of Satan. Anything that these 2 spawn could very well be that...oh wait yet again....maybe this album IS the 3rd child, which means it's the spawn of Hell (believable) or we'll all wish we were in Hell after 6 songs of her singing.

According to MQ's Twatter this will be the vinyl LP's cover. :? HTDA still has not managed to release a full length EP, but they spend so much time and effort on cover art. I'm beginning to think Leeloo is on to something. Why would a band's art director suddenly be considered part of the band?

Freetard-idol rock star Trent Reznor gives up, signs to major label
Hey, man, The Man has his good points
By Andrew Orlowski

Posted in Media, 26th September 2012 12:38 GMT

When Nine Inch Nails rock star Trent Reznor decided to go into DIY music publishing in 2008, he became a freetard poster child overnight. For the project, Reznor bypassed The Man to release a long instrumental album under the NIN banner in a variety of formats: some tracks were given away for free, $5 bought you a compressed digital version, while vinyl options ranged from $10 to $300.
It was a nice experiment for a mature artist to undertake. The fanatical anti-copyright blog Techdirt, which specialises in explaining in a million different ways why other people's sound recordings should be given away, was one of many who lauded the effort.
But now Reznor has had enough - and he's signed to Sony Music label Columbia. The label will release an EP by Reznor's band How To Destroy Angels, and (likely) the project's full-length album.
"Complete independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings," Reznor says on his Facebook page.
Reznor always made an odd poster child for freetards. He's never pandered to fashionable opinion, he has always had thoughtful critiques of commercial music strategies, and has never undervalued his own music as a publicity stunt. Reznor agreed, for example, with the point that going fully DIY was a luxury only established recording artists could enjoy.
It's also a regressive move. One frequently overlooked aspect of the major label model is that successful artists subsidise the less successful - a kind of socialism, if you like.
"Under the old-school record label system most artists had a much higher effective royalty rate than the contracts would lead you to believe," Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven front man David Lowery explained in testimony to the US Congress. Lowery told politicians: "This was directly a result of this socialistic risk-sharing, revenue-sharing scheme that record companies devised. It was directly the result of the record companies financing the recording of albums through its system of advances."
So long as your act didn't recoup its advance, you could enjoy a career for years with the best-sellers effectively subsidising you.
DIY has worked for successful artists in the later stage of their careers - because they don't have to share it with younger bands - and acts serving specialist audiences such as Black Metal, Lowery noted.
Of course the key here is choice - and making sure all our artists have lots of good choices available to them. The most successful artist in the world last year is signed to a tiny independent label (XL) for her recordings, and to an 800lb gorilla to handle her music publishing.
Whether we'll continue to get such choices in a post-Universal-EMI merger world remains to be seen. What's for certain is that the tech blogosphere's noisiest ideologues couldn't really care less what choices artists have - so long as they give away their work for free. ®
