There are groupies of every sex. Rock Stars are groupies for models and porn stars.
Everyone has been or is a groupie for something if you want to stick to the fucked up meaning of the word.

Rock stars are a groupie's groupie as well! The best and most desired ones are sought after by the musicians just as the girls seek out the boys.
We had a friend back in the day named Brad that was our same age (teenager) and did photog work for a local underground mag...backstage at every show clicking away and hanging with us girls. But he was really just as in love with the life as any of us were.

The closest I came to being a "male groupie" was smoking pot with Maya Ford from The Donnas. Man, if I was single I totally would've given Maya a ride on the Rikstik. She did say I was cute and I blushed like a fucking 12 year old girl at a Jonas Brothers show.

I got alot of male attention when i was in a band, i never slept with any of them but they bought me plenty of drinks and roses. My bandmates used to get pissed off at the attention i'd get. i'd never drink anything from them though just in case it was mickied. you never know what kind of creeps are out there

My first one was called "vertical smile" when i was 18. then i was in a band called "the flying saucers" (nothing to with space ships we just liked to get into the sauce) with my little brother playing drums. Thats the one i got most of the groupies in. Then i was in band called "haight ashbury" just doing backing vox. they were mostly original with a few covers. now i just jam around with friends when i go to their gigs they call me up and i've done some studio work with them. i've got a gig coming up on the 12th of december doing some original work that i collaberated on with a friend so i'm pretty excited about that. the bands mentioned above did alot of zeppelin, sabbath, motley crue, ac/dc STP and alice n chains. stuff like that. i like to see girls in bands too. i'll never forget a quote i read from lita ford years ago that basically said that girls arent taken seriously in rock unless they have a set of balls between their legs. and shes right. its very hard to be taken seriously. (at first)
