In my opinion, the reason their "relationship" worked was because neither of them spent too much time with the other, Nikki was working, touring, etc., etc., & Kat was working, on the road, promoting, etc., they had their space so when they did see each other it wasn't overkill & essentially they didn't REALLY get that opportunity like normal people to get to know someone...a normal couple that's not on the road all the time will spend all day at work & all night at home...when you spend the nights at home living with your significant other, that's when you get to know that person, when you find out what you love & hate about that person...my feelings on Nikki & Kat is that, when they truly got to know each other, neither side got along as well as they thought they did...when they first hooked up it was fresh, new, exciting & fun...after they got to know each other & the uglier sides of each's personallities they probably realized the honeymoon was over, they didn't want to make it work & therefore it was over...it was never meant to be "forever" anyways...she's 1/2 his age, they don't have that much in common, they can't....he was a rock star back when she was a baby, he probably listens to bands who were over before she was 2 years old & there's alot o' things you have to deal with when you date someone so much older or younger than you actually are....bottom line is, relationships, in general, are hard to make work....if one person doesn't want to put the effort in, then it's over....atleast they both took the high road & are not trashing each other....I can respect them both for that, but I have a feeling one will end up talking shit about the other, then the gloves will be off.
