Rescue Dawn - 7/10. Jesus Christian Bale was skinny in this one.

If you think he's skinny there, check out The Machinist...IMO, his finest performance, even better than American Psycho.Bridget wrote:Rescue Dawn - 7/10. Jesus Christian Bale was skinny in this one.

I think it's good, but I still think the Godfather's have it completely beat. I've seen Goodfellas more than any other movie perhaps. Does anything get played more on tv?? Mobsters however, the actors are a bunch of hacks!demolition23 wrote:pieceofme wrote:Goodfellas - 10/10

This film was going well until the god stuff came into it, then it just ended. This film could have been cool, but it failed.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Butch Cassidy and Sundance on Blu-Ray. Nothing is really added visually by making it 1080P as you realize it was such a beautiful looking movie from the get go. It's the hour of extras not found on the dvd that are worth throwing it in the queue.
The first featurette (of two, both in HD) is All of What Follows is True: The Making of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. This 35 minute behind the scenes piece was made in 2005 and features the stars and crew of the film who discuss how the movie was made and its place in cinema history.
I was more interested in the second featurette, the 25-minute long The Wild Bunch: The Fact vs. Fiction of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. In this show various historians and scholars discuss the real Butch and Sundance and compare their history to Hollywood's version.
Overall it's a solid 9.5/10 as the movie is obviously classic and the extras are bitchin'.

If i had connections back them i would have made some money, i saw jolie walking with maddox all by herself on the street( not one single fan or photographer just me) same thing with ethan hawke+ uma thurman(she was a bitch) and their 2 kids i was the only one there.

Righteous Kill: 5/10 Low-budget cop movie with DeNiro and Pachino as partners, other notable actors Donny Walhberg, John Leguizamo, and 50 Cent. Poor script, well read, the film feels like a money grab by the two main actors. No depth to the film whatsoever.

Laid to Rest 8 1/2 out of 10
it's an awesome low budget throwback to the late 70's exploitation/early 80's slasher films. it's one of those movies that you either love or hate. i doubt that there's any in-between. i loved it!
i stopped at the grocery store on my way to Kimmie's and decided to rent something out of the Red Box. so it was a blind rental, i'd never heard of it, and there was only one person in it that i had ever heard of. but that was the best dollar i ever spent!

Ice Age 2 - 8/10
A great follow up to the first film. The character Sid does actually make me laugh. Queen Lafita as the Mammoth kind of sucked though - a Mammoth that sounded like it was from the street just didn't seem right.

Lessee..the last film I saw was Bruno. I'll give it 7/10. I know the charcater's outrageously gay and that that's the whole point of it. But, my god, there was so much faggotry going on it was almost overbearing. Obviously, I like the fact that a lot of it's 'real' *spolier* - the wrestling hooligans doing all they can to kill 'Bruno' when they find out he's gay (having dressed up as a 'wrestler' of some sort with a mullet and calling himself 'Straight Dave') is quite alarming.
The charity single at the end is great. Slash Bono, Sting, Snoop Dogg and Chris Martin are in it. I must've seen the ending about 5 times now.

took the kids to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
8/10.......for what it is, not bad at all.
It ran about 15 minutes longer than it should've, but I've seen a lot worse.
my kids enjoying themselves......10/10.

The Unborn:
I'd give it about a 6.5 out of 10. Wasn't bad at all and kept me interested. Wasn't exactly as freaky as I thought it would be either.

Scarecrow - 6/10 (I knew it was a b-grade horror so didn't have too high expectations)
Scarecrow 2 - 5/10 (I didn't think it could have been worse than a ninja scarecrow from the 1st movie.... but apparently it was.... still some kills were amusing)
Scarecrow 3 - 5.5/10 (Yeah we watched the series.... this one was mildly better than the 2nd....)
Stepfather II - 7/10 (What a psycho prick..... fun watch)

The International
Suprisingly good!
I was expecting a lot from this movie and it delivered in spades. In a summer choked with superhero flicks, CGI make believe everywhere, and plots with holes big enough to drive a semi through, it's good to see a good honest action flick with a good story. Put Taken in this context as well.
