Random question: exactly how uncool am I for not knowing what Netflix is, like at all?
Edit: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The torrent crap, I mean. Amazon is too expensive for me in these difficult, difficult times.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Watched two movies over my glorious 3-day weekend -
Bonnie And Clyde - one of the best movies from the 60's in my opinion. Both Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway are excellent in their roles. Great movie.
National Lampoon's Vacation - watch this one every summer and it NEVER gets old! What the hell ever happened to CHevy Chase? He was so good as Clark Griswold. Another classic!

Benny Hill - The Worlds Favorite Clown - 4/5
It was a decent doc. It had some funny stuff I hadn't seen, some cool interviews in pieces (with Burt Reynolds, Michael Caine, Mickey Rooney, others) and showed some decent 'life' stuff about Benny.
But it was way too short and should have been 2 hrs at least.
Definitely worth the hour to watch it though, eh!
Thames are real fucking gits for cancelling the Benny Hill Show when it (and he) was so popular.

That was a really clever burn, but mum-ra doesn't play that league, nor does he understand stuff more complex than a "yo momma" kind of burn.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote:Get a hold of yourself. It's almost like all the audience mooning Stevie fucking Wonder when he plays "I Just Called to Say I Love You" in a concert.

[REC]
3 1/2 out of 5
i probably would have liked it more if my dingbat best friend would watch a movie subtitled instead of dubbed. a few of the voices used were completely ridiculous.
it's a little slow getting started, but once it gets going there's a lot of nice little twists and turns to keep you interested. not to mention the makeup is flawless. some of the most realistic looking wounds i have ever seen in a movie.
going to see G-Force and The Collector at the drive-in tonight. will report on those when i get home.

Rewatched the Conversation again last night. You forget what a great talent John Cazale was. Here's his short resume before buying the farm.
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
The Godfather: Part II (1974) R
The Conversation (1974) PG
The Godfather (1972)

He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Went and caught The Collector today. I'm a huge fan of the Saw films, so this was right up my alley. It was a very good movie and really kept my interest the whole time. Some sick deaths and torture scenes in there... that's for sure.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
G-Force; loved it!! the voice casting was perfect. lots of nice one-liners in there. 4 1/2 out of 5.
The Collector - okay, but it was too dark. as in i couldn't see a lot of the gore and traps and stuff because it was so dark. i would have liked a little more character development (they should take a lesson or two from the guys that did the first two "Saw" movies). hopefully the sequel (oh come on, you know there's going to be one) will have a little more in-depth story. 3 1/2 out of 5.

"UP' but not in 3-D..
What a sweet, adorable and touching movie! Dont have kids but love my dogs and this was another great animation that had plenty of innuendos for adults who have to drag their kids to these Disney movies. i was literally LOL and enjoying myself thoroughly until i had to tell some stupid bitch down the aisle from us to shut her mouth, when she kept "shushing" some cute little boy asking his Mommy questions during the movie. Yeah he was being a bit loud, but he was like 3??!! And it was stadium seating so he had to sit on his mom's lap to see. There was maybe 30 people in the theater and i finally said LOUDLY, when she said, "tell your son to stop taking so loudly" to "move yer seat lady if don't like it, this is a Disney movie, not Shindler's List!
She gave me a dirty look but did STFU...the little Asian lady thanked me after in her broken English and i chucked my soda at the rude bitch as she walked down the aisle when the movie was over....haha...no I didn't, but sounds good. She would have deserved it!
YES, UP!!!!!!!! Definitely buying it as soon as it comes out on DVD!

Hamlet 2 - It was on TV last night, and I've seen a couple of movies with Steve Coogan that I liked, so I gave it a shot. It was really strange, and remarkably bad and unfunny. 2/10.

I agree I really liked this as well. The Russian accent on the girl made her even more hardcore. There were some predictable plotlines, but I found it to be pretty scary.Livewire625 wrote:Agreed. I just saw this too. I enjoyed it and the twist was pretty good too.doctordestructo wrote:

I also saw Funny People, and it wasn't great. Sandler tries to do another melodrama mixed in with comedy. Seth Rogan is pretty good, but the movie goes on for 2.5 hours. Way too long for a comedy, and also no really hilarious moments, just a few funny jokes here and there.
