Total Recall - 8/10. This movie used to come on TV all the time but I never watched it, something about it freaked me out. I picked the DVD up cheap when my local store had a sale, and finally got around to watching it. Pretty awesome IMO, way out there and the special effects are a nice touch.

Brothers.
8/10. Nowhere near the love triangle that the trailers suggest.
In fact it's a pretty slow flick until the last twenty minutes.
Tobey McGuire was fucking AWESOME in this flick.
The last two scenes were brutal to watch and heartbreaking. Not a dry eye in the theater.

Saw IV--3/10 Not any better or worse than the rest of the Saw movies, which means it pretty much sucked balls.

A horror movie called Trick R Treat.

Okay, but nothing I'd want to own.

We watched Food Inc. (documentary) last night and I thought it was scary as hell. Although, if you've read Fast Food Nation, it's somewhat redundant. 9/10

Slices - A horror anthology film that feels like it's 7 hours long. If you're ever dying of a terminal illness, watch this movie. It slows time to a crawl. Featuring Trent Haaga, a gentleman who once cuckolded IDIAMINDADA. 2/10

Frayed - The exact same movie as Halloween except super shitty and really boring. A couple twists at the end that you might not see coming if you, say, didn't watch the first half of the movie where it was really obvious what was going to happen. 2/10

The Last Resort - Ugh. 1/10

Law Abiding Citizen-It was watchable but had shitloads of holes in the
plot, and I didn't like the ending and would basically give the movie a generous 5/10. I left the cinema thinking WTF did I just see!

Taken the new one with Liam neeson- 8/10 obviously incredibly unrealistic, but neeson kicking ass & taking names makes a pretty good flick

There was some feel good shit, some boring shit, some funny shit, some repetitive shit, some underdog shit, some fucked up shit and some just plain ole shit.

Gattaca - 6/10 - Not as entertaining as I remembered it, not a bad flick just kind of average and boring.

I've seen that one twice, and that was enough for me. Good movie, but it gets about a 1 on the movie rewatchability scale.

Se7en - 9/10. One of my movies of all time. Kevin Spacey absolutely owns this movie, even though he's only in it for the last 20 minutes or so.

Let the Right One In - 9.5/10. Best somewhat new Movie I've seen this year.

Zombieland - 8/10. Pretty good. I liked Shaun of the Dead better, but not by much.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - 7.5/10. Nice images, especially because I was really baked, and the four actors for one character thing worked pretty good. I'm actually not sure why I'm giving it 7.5, guess I'll have to watch it again.

500 Days of Summer - 7/10. Enjoyable but also kinda forgettable.

Okuribito / Departures - 6.7/10. A lot of people go on about how great this one is, having won an Oscar and everything. I thought it was really predictable and dragged on too long, with the first half bordering on being a comedy while the second half seems to consist of nothing but funeral ceremonies.

Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin' With the Godmother - 8.3/10. It was pretty cool until the power went off and I couldn't watch the end. What I saw was good though.

I can kind of understand the split rating, although I think you're being way too generous here.

Watched Fugitive Pieces a few nights ago. A solid 10/10
I can't believe this was on at our cinema and I never watched it. I'd say it's easily one of the best films that I've seen that came out this year - has anyone else seen it?
I've only watched it once, but you'd best believe I'm nicking it the next time I go round my friends house! It's very moving. Although they appear to have marketed it wrong - certainly when it comes to the front cover of the dvd anyway. To look at it, you'd think it was a love story of some sort...the 'love story' is quite a small thing.
If anyone gets the chance to see this film, see it.

I loved the first hour. By hour 2, it got WAY too fucking meta and I think it could have ended about a half hour before it did. What was at first charming became exhausting.

I'm not a big Charlie Kaufman fan but I think this is his best work yet.
