My Sassy Girl - 7/10. It's actually a super gay romantic comedy kinda thing, but Elisha Cuthbert is blonde and an alcoholic, a.k.a. super perfect, and they stole the movie from Korea, so it's patriotic as shit, too, which obviously gains it extra points.

A Good Day To Die Hard: 7/10
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Die Hard movies. The first one was a fucking brilliant 10 out of 10. I left the theater exhausted
And although this one wasn't as good as Live Free Or Die Hard, it was still entertaining enough to get a passing grade from me.
It kinda reminded me of Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines, in that it was better than your average action flick, but was kinda stuck in the shadow of its predecessors.... if that makes any sense.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
I saw this tonight as well. I'll give it a 4/10. It doesn't really resemble what "Die Hard" was long ago. It's just tired already, like the last one in the series. That massive car chase near the beginning is amazing, though.Hurls34 wrote:A Good Day To Die Hard: 7/10

Cleanskin(2012) British spy movie started great but a couple of long flashbacks made it drag a bit 7/10

Skyfall 6/10
Fun, but ridiculous, just like a good Bond movie should be. Eye-rolling moments and Evel Knievel-esque leaps of logic throughout. When I turned off my this-makes-no-fucking-sense-o-meter, I rather enjoyed it. Kinda ruined that whole internet theory about James Bond just being a code name, but whatever.
V/H/S - 5/10
Had they not tried to tie these all together as an anthology, it would have worked better. Loved the harpy, the Grand Canyon couple and the haunted house.
Wreck-it Ralph - 7/10
Fun for an old arcade kid like me. Typical Disney fare, but that's not a bad thing.

20 Minutes of All About Steve. Blech. Gave it a shot with my wife Friday because it has the great Ken Jeong so I thought 'how bad can it be'?
Typical attempt at romantic comedy. Can we end this shitty trend of the super hot chick that's having trouble finding a boyfriend already? There has to be someone out there with another idea.

resident evil retribution - i wasn't expecting anything going in . I liked the others in the series but this thing is a HUGE shit pile. 1/10 . What a waste of time and money.

Bond is old and tired. Did you know he was old? And tired? And weak? And antiquated? And he's been doing this a long time?

Identity Thief- 6/10
Some really funny moments but the story kind of sucked. Justin Bateman looks just like a younger Michael J. Fox (minus the shaking, of course). I also gave this movie an extra point just because I still love Justine Bateman.

Brave - 7/10 not a lot of singing for a Disney film, seemed kinda short...I think Tangled was better though my 7 year old niece thought it was amazing.

Je vais bien, ne t'en fais pas (I'm Fine, Don't Worry) - 7/10.
Watched it for the chick frog from Inglourious Basterds, because she's awesome. Pretty sure this one isn't a Tarantino movie, though. It's all sappy, and like subtle and stuff. But there's a scene where Mélanie Laurent, who's all of a sudden not depressed and dying anymore (= plot), finally decides to get banged in a tent, when it starts to storm and she gets up all naked and shit. All in all, worthwhile cinema. Will check out Laurent's pussy again in future works.

Man With The Gun - 9/10. Robert Mitchum.
Clint Tollinger is known throughout the West as a "town tamer," the badass you call in when outlaws get the upper hand in a place. The good citizens of Sheridan City are terrified of a local cattle baron, so Tollinger's arrival is just what they want--at first. His no-nonsense approach to wiping out the bad guys is enough to give a person pause. Meanwhile, Tollinger is reacquainting himself with his estranged wife, now the local bordello madam who doesn't want any part of him
I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now - 8/10. June Haver

Silver Lining Playbook-
After hearing so much hype from many friends, family and colleagues, I saw the movie last night and am upset I waited so long to watch this terrific film.
Might be the 2nd best film I have seen in the last couple years.
#1 being The Artist with Argo a close 3rd.
Jennifer Lawrence is HOT and even though she appeared in the movie
about 30 minutes in, her performance did more than make up for
the absence.
DeNiro was also terrific. I hope he wins an Oscar for best supporting
actor tonight.
Wonderful written movie. You can tell the writer/director worked very hard on this movie to get the best script possible.
9/10

Room 237 - 0/10
FML, I watched this entire thing.
People discuss, in monotone, what they think The Shining was actually about, insisting that Kubrick was a genius who used the film to articulate the horrors of WWII, the plight of the Native Americans, the role of the Jews in Europe, Sex in Movies, Subliminal Selling and every other hot topic of the pre-1970s.
I did get a good laugh when they defend the goofs in the movie claiming they were all intentional and had DEEEP DEEEEEP meaning.

The Men Who Stare At Goats - 8/10. I expected some sort of highbrow, solemn war movie, but this is actually worthwhile and unique.
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
I really looked forward to that when it came out and was hugely disappointed. I later read reviews that said it was like a bad Coen Brothers movie, which I thought was a perfect description.
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Shit. I thought I covered up quick enough.
